I notice the exhaust side seems to be touching the bags? is there some protection on the bags for the exhaust pipes?

Thanks for reaching out! Yes we have heat shields available for motorbikes where the bags might rest on the exhaust.
Some exhaust are well insulated and do not need a shield, but it is best to rather use one. ;)
