That, and somehow it puts the whole thing into perspective. Like, the perspective of how kinda silly the whole plot was. A few tidbits of communication here and there and Anakin never would have fallen (Mace Windu the most guilty there). You really do have to buy the fact that Anakin was a totally blind moron and the Jedi Council were dogmatic to the point of the absurd for these events to happen. And somehow a force ghost Qui Gon eating snacks and Obi Wan being a jackass towards Anakin makes it so much clearer.

@@kotormaster1975tbf they have him like the grandparent who can see no wrong with their faveourite grandkid, so that was more or less him sternly trying to turn his faveourite back into a good jedi boy, though he might still find a way to shift the blame for Anakin's fall. Still though the pause mid snacking and slowly turning to Anakin just wait til he sees him slaughter younglings.

I like how Obi-Wan seem to purposely forget that the ENITRE JEDI ORDER had Palpatine under their noses for decades and never noticed he was a sith lord, only to taunt Anakin for not figuring it out. Classic Jedi hypocrisy.
Palps wasn’t dropping hints everywhere that he was the Sith Lord to the entire Jedi Order. Obi Wan certainly never got invited to Palpatine’s room of evil Sith artifacts.

The master is not, until he learns the final lesson of his craft: how to teach another. Some professional organizations even acknowledge this as the final requirement in order to achieve an official Master status; to bring up a pupil to the level of Journeyman. It’s a bit reflective of the fictional Jedi tradition of requiring at least one pupil making it to Knight rank before you yourself are allowed to be considered for Master status.

I'm no body language expert, but the way Qui Gon reacted to the part where Anakin not being granted the rank of jedi master. You can clearly see that he was both genuinely upset that Anakin was denied of the rank, but also had the look of disappointment at the council for denying Anakin of it.
Qui-Gon maybe had some personal beef with the council lol. As Obi-Wan told Qui-Gon in TPM, "Master, you could be sitting on the Council by now if you would just follow the code. They will not go along with you this time."
To be honest though, Anakin didn't have the maturity to be a Jedi Master, as soon as they told him he had a temper tantrum. If he took it calmly considering it was a honor to be in the council at that age, he probably would have become a master very soon after.
@@WolfGuardian495although i do agree anakin was not ready to be a master because of his mental state, his outrage was actually extremely valid: he was denied the rank of master due to a technicality. To become a master, you need to train a padawan to knighthood, ahsoka left the order and so did not complete her padawan training, but the entire council agreed that the whole debacle that led to her leaving the order in the first place was enough to count as her knight trials, which a padawan must complete to become a knight. So the council unanimously agreed anakin had trained her to knighthood, but because she didnt return to the order, she did not become a knight. Thats why anakin is so angry. Add in palpatine and his creepy grooming sessions where he tells anakin the council are actively working against him and that they hate him, you really cant blame anakin for throwing a tantrum. You could say that since clone wars came out after revenge of the sith it doesnt really matter, but i dont think thats nearly as fun.
I have been waiting for this moment for more months that I can count. Defo worth it, qui’s reaction, obi mocking and anakin so ashamed for sure is pure gold. Keep up the good work Charlie

Hey Charlie, I wanted to thank you and your team i am going through some rather tough times over the last few months and finding your videos a couple of weeks ago made me really laugh. One theory is that Palpatine used a Sith scream that can temporarily cut Jedi off from the Force. It would have made them much easier to kill. But Mace managed to shake it off in time.
Obi Wan being sad while saying goodbye to Anakin one last time before he becomes a sith, while Qui Gon eats crisps is exactly what I would expect to happen 😂😂😂
Obi Wan is expecting Qui Gon to feel bad about all this eventually, but in reality Qui will just blame HIM for Anakin turning to the dark side and get mad that he sat on this info for so long. 😂

Oh man. I didn't think about that. That makes it a thousand times worse in my head. I shouldn't, but I have a lot of empathy for Anakin. Until I remember he killed all the younglings.
Finally the episode we have all been waiting for. The anticipation for this has been even greater than the wait between the "Return of the Jedi" and "The Phantom Menace".
