  • Buddy the Hungarian Vizsla has completed his 2 week Intensive Course with Adolescent Dogs
He has learnt to walk to heel, both on and off lead and now has a reliable recall, even when around distractions. His jumping up has lessened and he understands the ‘leave’ cue when food is dropped onto the floor. He will also willingly go into the car whereas before he would shut down and have to be lifted in and he is now much calmer and less stressed when traveling in the car.

Could you please tell me how you trained his to stop pulling the leash?? Did you use choke chain? Thank you very much!!!

Dog looking at the owner the whole time is a sure way to ruin their adventurous spirit...that training barely even allows the dog to get a good smell of their surroundings!
Looks on edge all the time

This video only shows the dog when they are being asked to respond to a cue (as this is what the owner has paid for). This forms a very small portion of their walk/day and training they have in place means they can have freedom to run and play and be dogs without getting into trouble

I take my vizsla mountain biking off leash and give her pretty much free range as long as she doesn't go too far past me. yet 90% of the time she chooses to be right next to my rear wheel and I have to tell her to give me some space! She's obviously doing training exercises in this, but the real world case of this would be when your walking your dog casually and something comes up where you need them to focus on you (other dog, person, store, busy crowd) and then let them relax back into a casual walk.
      Great job by the way!

These dogs are pointers, there for If they are in point it is likely they may run off and being the 4th fastest dog in the world and being expert climbers I really think training is needed but I do respect what you have stated! ❤️
