I decided to read through the book of Proverbs for the month of July. It's been absolutely refreshing. I like to see what focus verse I choose and then I come and listen to your perspective.
I do the same thing
In Gal 5:22, a list of the Fruits of the Spirit is listed, self -control is the 9th ‘fruit’! I have made a covenant to live my life according to these fruits of the spirit, all the days, of my life. Thank you for this series, and Godspeed to you and your family ❣️

Self control from anger and impulsiveness.
Practicing Self-control isn't as easy as it sounds but, with the example of Jesus Christ in my life....I know I definitely have in this fight!
31 days through the Book of Proverbs. Day 25, January 25, 2024, Wednesday today’s message and text provided 2 great illustrations. One being, the lack of self control being compared to your house having no walls, leaving you vulnerable to everything from wild life to robbers. And, the second one being, Sampsonite, an appointed judge with great physical strength but lacking mental strength.
