I totally agree that to Never take words to Heart, it's not about you it's about their Own frustrations, find out What's Really Bothering them!! "Listen to Them"

@Vickie, exactly, i just let them rant and listen to them also my tone of voice is soothing and assertive when need be and also not in a patronising way.

Hey, I'm a ER nurse. I just saw the TH-cam video about self-asphyxiation by hanging cuz I had a trauma pt yesterday who hang him self, I just wanted to know what is the other general trauma wound look like on neck.
Then, I watch this video, to learn the communication technique. I cant believe my eyes that i saw the noses...😂😂😂

Question: how can one defuse without convincing?
    Example:
Person 'A' experiences a trigger, then he attaches 'reasons' to justify an incorrect action (bad habit)
Solution 1: he can defuse/detach (in order to remove the meaning of the reason). -> here he convinces himself that there is no meaning
Solution 2: he can defuse/detach (in order to remove the meaning of the reason). -> here he doesn't convince himself but is this possible?

Actually the majority's of the time people get frustrated and get upset about the situation they are in and they may not understand how to communicate their feelings well so they act out.

@@Haddley333 my point was it's often the staff creating the situation which causes the "challenging behaviour", so it often is about them and they should change their own behaviour

I think this is a commitment issue, obviously Charlie (the patient) doesn’t understand how the treatment could benefit him, he may be avoiding policing schemes while remaining accountable to his own feelings of safety.
