    Thank you for sharing! I purchased an identical 2004 in 2006 and was blown away by the bike. (First Fuel Injected bike I ever owned.) The dumb ass that I was at that time, I sold my 1991 California III that had the wonderful 1000 cc big valve carbed Lemans motor. I thoroughly enjoyed riding this bike for 4+ years, but it was SO FUN to drive faster & faster & faster & faster that I concluded that I couldn't own it an longer as it it exceeding my riding skill level & I did not have the personal discipline to ride slower. So, I sold it and absolutely miss the thrill of riding this fine Italian ride! As I grow older, my favorite riding memories are on this V11 Le Mans to limits of my limited skills. What a wonderful bike that I wish I still had in my garage if to just admire and maybe ride responsibly on occasion , :( !! (CAN YOU TELL I MISS THIS BIKE!!!!!!!!) Buy one if you find one!

      That particular red one was owned by my son actually. He decided to sell it in favour of a ducati. It made sense for him sell because he also has a KTM adventure. So the le mans was not really getting used. The V11 range is under the radar at the moment although the guzzi brand is doing rather well in new sales. Their only draw back is weight, they are hefty. But great bikes, last of the proper guzzis in my opinion.

    I’ve been lucky enough to own plenty of Alfas & Guzzis. They’ve all been a joy to own and just drive & ride beautifully; they make you feel special.

    I have an '03 Rosso Red V11 LeMans & love it. Love your Mistral setup... I've always wanted to add that same setup vs. stock. I have other bikes, but the Guzzi is special... no fancy electronics or ABS, just a motorcycle with a lot character & flair. Fun to ride too & the LeMans always gets the looks.

    Just got one in addition to my brand new V7. Few little things to sort out but the ride is true Le Mans style which I owned late nineties

      The mistral exhaust system, although expensive, does transform the feel of the engine.

    Over the years I have had in excess of 200 bikes, half of which have been Italians, as yet I still haven't even ridden a Guzzi. I realy must do something about that while my knees are still up to the weight.

    • @rustynuts82
      @rustynuts82  ปีที่แล้ว

      Try a Tonti frame big block first…..le Mans 850 or a 1000s if you can. The spine frames are much bulkier and heavier.

    I bet the smooth black engine finish is much better to maintain.... I would imagine the "krinkle" finish holds a lot of dirt. She's Gorgious

    • @rustynuts82
      @rustynuts82  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, much easier to keep. The crinkle in mat black looks a bit odd to me.

    Bring on the V100 version.

    • @rustynuts82
      @rustynuts82  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Its been soooo long since Guzzi made anything remotely sporty that I wonder if they can still pull it off. The V100 motor must surely have more to offer, styling should be a piece of cake! The MG01 should have been the next Le Mans.

    How are the ergos on the V11s for those over 6ft? I love the looks of these bikes but would have to travel across several states to check one out.

    • @rustynuts82
      @rustynuts82  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m 6 foot and it fits very well. The tanks are very wide, otherwise fairly normal position. Sporty old school style

      @@rustynuts82 No, no, no. You're supposed to say it's a brutal ride and awful seating position! 😉 Thanks for the reply and a V11 is on my list.

    Lovely but seat support rails should be horizontal

      Its a bit kicked up, but i guess thats the more modern style. I do prefer the straight lines of my 1000S. The mk4/5 were even more swoopy!

    French guy here. I am about to choose between a Griso and a Norge at the end of the month, as a replacement bike for my BMW K 100 RT
    You do not pronunce the "S" in "Le Mans" . It's just " Le Man"
    Tricky frogs ...😁
    Beautiful bike of yours , btw..

    • @rustynuts82
      @rustynuts82  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I expect the Norge would be the closest to replace a big K. Although a Griso is far more sexy!

    Had an 02 LeMans -Champagne..
    Put 64k joyus mi her. ....
    Lost her and my 30foot liveaboard sloop to a bout of cancer. ..2012..
    Just recently scooped up a 2000 V11 Sport with only 12k mi !!!!...
    Same bike but sport fairing not the GORGEOUS, super functional and Pain in the ass LeMans fairing...
    The V11 sport/ LeMans are absolutely the most motorcycly motorcycle you can buy stock.
    Huge torque. Huge breaks.Thunder of a Merlin.
    Imagine a HD with 95hp, pulling right thru 7000 RPMS with a 6 speed tranny and a sport frame that could pull a side car.
    I had plenty Ducatis and liter Japanese bikes. Seat of the pants...nothing touches these sporty V 11s
