Miss China, 23-year old Wen Xia Yu from Liaoning, was crowned Miss World 2012 during the 62nd edition of the competition held in Ordos, China on August 18th. 1.78 m tall Yu, will spend her year working for charitable causes and fulfilling her duties as Miss World.
Yu Wenxia (born August 6, 1989 in Harbin) is a Chinese model and beauty queen.
This is the second time Miss China has been awarded the title. The last time was in 2007 when Zhang Zilin took the honour.
Yu Wenxia is a music student who says she wants to become a music teacher.
The 2nd Place was Wales - Sophie Elizabeth MOULDS
& The 3rd Place was Jessica Michelle KAHAWATY, representing Australia.

I like Wales the most for her beauty! I like the S.Sudan with her intelligent! I like India for her kindness, and I like Australia with her personality, but I think China really deserved to win, although she is not beautiful as Wales, she is not clever as S.Sudan, she is not helpful as India, she is not as good as Australia, but she has a great talent, she can answer question very fluently and she is elegant! She might not be the best Miss World, but she is truly a Miss World standard!

this competition is way much more clean than miss universe where most of asian and african (black) don't have a chance at all.. here all of this girl had a chance to compete...

Wales did a very good Job. Jamaica's answer was my favorite. India was so real, she should have had a place. My Final verdict, Jamaica-2nd, India-1st and Wales;MsWorld2013. :)

Please read my comment correctly before you reply me like this...I didn't say she is not the best in this year...I mean she is not the best when compared to the previous Miss World "Winner"! She is the winner of 2012, so of course she was the best among all the contestant in 2012...but she don't have to be better than the previous Miss World "Winner"! If I mean Miss World "Winner"...I don't need to type out the "Winner"...the 2nd place cannot be called "Miss World"...is called 1st Runner Up! :D

miss world pageant tends to be biased . most of their winners especially in recent years are questionable. compared to miss universe, judging in miss world is a mess

South Sudan, Whales and Brazil followed by Jamaica were the best answers and should have been the winners. PR of China was no where near. There is no way she could have won. Yes she belonged in the top 7 but not a winner.

miss china say "good morning" then switched into 'good evening" is that good? china is should be top 7 but she should leave and let other contestant as miss mexico. she is intelligent, attractive but she can go through top 5. some contestants should not allow in top final, but other who is the most deserved but they can't . it's unfair. my friend and most audiences and me are disappointed about MW. this beauty competition is not attractive spectator anymore just because of baised.

This pageant is so BORING.In my opinion, i have nothing against China, but, there are lots of much more prettier,sexier,smarter deserving contestants. MW organization must stop Politicking! It is very obvious. The numbers who viewed this pageant will definitely explain how unsucessful MW 2012 is.
