Largest Solar PV project for Desalination plant in Sur

Developed by Veolia in partnership with TotalEnergies, the facility generates 32,000 MWh of renewable energy, powering Veolia Sur desalination plant which provides drinking water for 600,000 inhabitants.
The plant is a significant milestone towards decarbonization efforts in the region as it will help cut about 27,200 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
