- Russia began its attack on Ukraine at around 5am, targeting power plants and advancing towards the capital Kyiv.
Many residents responded by trying to flee the city, clogging roads with traffic.

I remember watching this happen live. Everyone was saying Ukraine will only be able to fight and put up a defense for 72 hours at the most. Now I'm watching this at 11:24 p.m. on October 9th, 2022. My oh my, what a difference a couple months make

Belarus border to Kiev is about 400 km. Russians have taken Chernobyl which is about 134 km from the Kiev. And all this in less than 24 hours which tells me that Russians did not have any resistance. Most people are fleeing for Poland which MSM does not report.
Russia likely wanted to secure Chernobyl as their main adjective. They would see it as a threat to their own shithole country if the sarcophagus was damaged

Given the many huge explosions shown and claimed fierce resistance battles I would have expected the fatality figures to have been enormous.
It is the technology that helps. Less soldiers getting fatally wounded at distances because of flak/ kevlar jackets etc..
Precision strikes, military targets, ukrainian soldiers surrendering all make it that these numbers are low. If fighting starts on both sides numbers will stack up fast.
