Awesome rig! Would echo what some others have said - you're clipping. The digital effects aren't the cause, they just amplify and extend the problem. Might be as simple as reducing the preamp gain going into your DAW. Way too nice of a rig to hamstring your sound with digital clipping!
Yeah it was clipping on my ambient setting for sure. I think the effects were just overloading the amp on that particular preset and there was some gnarly speaker breakup too.
@@pyrexia82 well then it may just be clipping I guess. There usually is some speaker crackle happening with a lot of the modern worship tones. Even with just reverb. I used to hate it but now I get used to the speaker crackle
All of your effects are "pre" amp giving that sizzle (digital distortion/clipping) that is prominent in the recording. I assume that this was your intent. To each his own I guess.
Yeah that breakup is kind of the style with a lot of the worship guitar tones. I will say there was some undesirable distortion on my big ambient setting. I just need to dial it back a bit. This is the reason I like using higher wattage amps otherwise they just fall apart with all the effects being thrown into them
I used to hate the sounds of effects going into the front of the amp, and almost sold an amp because I bought it without an FX Loop. I have now had FX loop amps that I don't even use because nothing sits as well in a mix as with stereo effects hitting stereo amps
@@spawn302 they both have a place for sure. I ran a parallel rig for the longest time and it was great but running straight into the amp with no dry signal is an amazing sound too!
Yeah I hear ya. I'm actually going to experiment on this using Eventide H90 in Parallel mode. I have my guitar going straight to H90 and then output 1 and 2 (path A) going to hx stomp, going out fx send to input 3&4 of H90, then out 3&4 of H90 to stomp FX return. I've done this way so I can test out putting mod/delay/reverb in H90 path A ("pre" amp) hitting stomp's amp and cab. Or path B, post amp. Excited to experiment! 😁👊🏻
@@rovenordiales it’s a never ending experiment! I’m sure my board will be different in 6 months to a year. I’ll probably replace the timeline with a Meris LVX and the mobius with an H90 at some point. They are just so expensive!
Great rig rundown! The alternate preset functionality on the PBC is crazy useful, and glad that you are enjoying the gravity Sounds as well.
Thanks Jimmy!
Great pedalboard, sound, and rundown
Thank you!
gotta admit...these worship pedalboards sound amazing...im more of a hard rocker but i do like me some ambient guitar music...nice rig
Thanks Scott! I’m a rocker through and through but it’s fun to just play gear sometimes and just go in a different mode!
wow... very good pedalboard!!! compliments!!!
Thanks!

Definitely will watch that next time. Thanks for the advice!
awesome brother!!!
Thanks Scott!
Great pedalboard, huge sound
Thank you!
Pretty nice man!
Thanks, it’s always a work in progress!
Is left channel clipping? It’s cracking on my headphones

That's how it usually go if you put delays and reverbs "pre" amp.
@@rovenordialesnope. The first preset (without time based effects) is clipping too. A lot.

yep
Sounds great. What are you using for an amp?
He said the FTR-37 and Deluxe Reverb
I’m using a divided by 13 FTR 37 and a fender custom hardwired deluxe reverb
Just plug your guitar into a 100 watt head with a full stack. You don’t need pedals.
I use them because I suck at guitar…
@@chrisdelanyguitarist we all suck compared to Tory Slusher.
Pedals are silly. Just plug your guitar into a full stack.
