    Had a little trouble getting the original broken, cracked back glass off of the phone, because little pieces of glass shards began to pop off as I was removing the old damaged back. But I was able to successfully remove it, eventually. The new one from the link you provided fits perfectly. However, my phone had the white back and I ordered the same, original cover from the link, and its definitely not as white as the original. Has a bit of a grayish cast to it. Not a big deal, though. Still looks fine. Since I'm going to have a protective plastic cover on the back of it, it doesn't really make a difference, as I'm never going to see the color anyway. Thanks again. Very helpful video !!!! 👍

    Looks fairly easy. I was going to trade in my phone, they offered $700 for it but, till they saw the back cover, then they would only offer me $400 for it. So $18, I'll give it a shot....

      Heat makes it easier to separate the adhesive. You don’t have to use a heat gun, even a hair dryer would work it would just take more time.

    Question: did you happen to notice if the new glass would hamper the brightness of the flashlight, and do you think it's just how the replacement glass is or a result of the heating device burning the flashlight bulb a bit?

    • @MobileRefreshChannel
      @MobileRefreshChannel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unless you got a cheap replacement glass or you forgot to remove the protection film from the camera lens, this repair shouldn’t effect the functionality of the flashlight.

      @@MobileRefreshChannel Could be a not fully authentic one, but not a deal breaker all onto itself.
      Also curious: i notice an ever-so-slight gap on the left and right of the glass. Was wondering if you experienced that with the fully authentic glass you used on note 10+, and if so, does heating up the adhesive on it and then putting some heavy books on it or something resolve such an issue?

    • @MobileRefreshChannel
      @MobileRefreshChannel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it’s not sitting flush then reheating and applying weight won’t really fix that, could cause the glass to crack if something is preventing it from sitting flush or it’s just that type of glass. Our glass sat flush around the frame.

Or they change the entire panel. I m not interested to change the panel because the imei is printed on the original panel

    • @MobileRefreshChannel
      @MobileRefreshChannel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the panel is okay then only the adhesive needs to be replaced. You may have another problem though. A lot of times the battery can start inflating causing it to lift up the back glass. Normally the glass should not be popping up on its own. In that case the battery needs to be replaced first.

    • @MobileRefreshChannel
      @MobileRefreshChannel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      No, you no longer have IP68 rating. You will never be able to reseal it like the factory seal, but even the manufacturer will say that they don’t guarantee the water resistance after a year because the seals wear out. So if your phone is over a year old, more than likely it’s no longer ip68 anyways.

    • @MobileRefreshChannel
      @MobileRefreshChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually it should fit snugly to the frame even without applying firm pressure. There may be something in the way causing it to lift up. The adhesive may hold for sometime but it can get loose if it keeps pushing up the glass. In most cases it’s either some old adhesive left on the frame or the battery could be lifting it up.
