4:50 - Thats why I subscribed to your channel. Nice educative content. 6:55 - Your wariness of it was soo valid lol. If I ever need to change this on my Knee mill, I'll remember of this video. It even shook the camera. 10:19 - It seems very finicky mechanical system, can't a simple modification of high torque motor accomplish this? Maybe using some basic cheap microprocessor to automate things if ever needed?

Maybe you can use a section of pvc as a catch for the spring? Whatever size is slightly larger than the opening in the housing
