My predictions: 40% GWI. 10G signing bonus. 115.00 per month, per year of service, on frozen pension. Company match for the first 10% for the 401K. Then the rest of what was in the 3rd offer. I'm hoping for something to come out this week and we're back to work following week.
The company is jerking them around per that machinist is unbelievable, 35%, 12% matching on the 401K if they contribute 8% - +$4,160 to a savings account, + $7,000.00 sigining bonus, plus annual bonus, + more PTO, plus less forced overtime, plus annual Cost of living adjustment on top of all of the other items, are you kidding me - the company is jerking them around, I wonder what your compensation package looks like compared to these striking IAM members. Collective mob mentality gone wrong!
It Is the Boomers and a small number of Gen Xs who think they're Boomers members of the Union who are the problem... they think this is the 70s or the 80s. These guys screwed off their money in the 90s and the early 2000s. 2008 took a chunk out of their pride and their wallets. Now they want all the money back that they crapped way or lost and they want everybody else to pay for their poor choices. No.
Boeing just raised 20 Billions. I think the union will run out of money first. Striking wokers are not eligible for unemployment benefits in WA state. Union leader is starting to get worry, that's why they tried to hurry up the negotiation. Previously, they didn't even want to talk.
lol Is that why Boeing puts out a better offer every 2 weeks? The union is not worried at all. We all knew this was coming years in advance and prepared for the strike to last 3+ months.. we have savings and can get seasonal jobs to hold out while boeing reports $6 Billion+ in losses. We're enjoying the time off thanks. 🥳Watch a better offer come in a few days.
There's some people that won't be happy no matter what, alot of younger new Hires are just thrilled to have a good job, not like the older Greedy workers.
the old greedy workers are still living in the past. the bigger problem is that they refuse to leave Boeing and find a better job with life time pension and million dollar pay like the CEOs.
If this Union is holding out for there pensions to be re instated, then they will be waiting a long time and there is a good possibility they may lose there jobs, If Boeing current and backlogged orders keep dropping they may decide to just close the Renton facility and thus everyone who works there loses there jobs. And what ever order Boeing still has to fill could be done at another facility. What do you think. ??? Thanks
Exactly!!! But what do you expect from an unlicensed/uncertified person with just high school diploma. If you want more go out and get more instead demanding things. Know your place in life.

It's only been 48 days and I can keep striking until Boeing gives us more of what we want. If the pension is not on the contract, we can get at least 45% GWI with more upfront, better medical, and alot more PTO. Lets all get seasonal jobs and wait Boeing out until they put up a real offer. Boeing gave us nothing in the last 10 years when they were doing well but we have the leverage this time. The big money went to the executives and workers got pennies. I hope the 64% holds strong. If the next contract is weak, we'll reject it again!

Well, when the company gives their CEO's 45% increase each year and the workers only got 1% in a decade. And that doesn't cover the cost of inflation just in the state of Washington. Its about time the workers get on a livable wage for our area.
The new CEO can earn as much in 7 hours as these machinist earn in an entire year. I hope they are able to holdout and get every single thing they’re asking for.
If you are worried about what a CEO makes then go become one. But we all know that requires these people to go beyond a high school diploma to get there. So not gonna happen.
imagine not getting a raise in over 10 years bud, all the workers are asking for is just below what inflation has taken from them. they are in a position to negotiate this. others are not.
They will get what they've asked for. It just won't work out they way they think. I'm sure Boeing is looking into machine automation to streamline production that doesn't absolutely require a person. They are more than likely looking into moving operations to a more business-friendly state like so many other large businesses from other liberal states have done. Then, they're ridiculously demanded pay increases will be for naught when many of them become unemployed because of these union advocated strikes. This is why I left the Union mentality decades ago. I don't want my value tied to others if I do a superior job worthy of a pay premium and others benefit without putting the same work or applying the same skills. People need to advocate for themselves and stop the group cry and complain sessions they do every major election year.
They already tried that. They moved the 787 to be built. But then with a major turn around with workers they still have to be flown back up to Washington to be built right and fixed so that the customers can take the planes.
@MrGiannibgood i remember that, but that was in the past, and WA isn't the only state that has workers who can build planes properly. They will use machines and AI to enhance productivity and offer employees who want to move to help supervise the QC aspects a bonus to help 6 relocation. This would be the smartest move management can do, or they'll be stuck with the same entitled employees that will strike again when they feel they're entitled to another 40% raise. This isn't sustainable, and investors will not stand for this. If Boeing employees actually held a decent amount in stock and put some skin in the game, they would have a different view of these pay strikes. But they've been convinced by union heads that these strikes are in their best interests, which they're not. But I could be wrong for sure, but seeing the trend in business around the country and past behaviors by corporations leads me to think otherwise.
@@ultra-deplorable671haha brah, Boeing still uses excel and power points. When I introduce them to JavaScript and c+ none of the managers understood wtf to do with it. Lol AI? Boeing is so far behind on technology which is funny because Washington is one of the biggest tech state.
