The best thing: They applied with this song for the Eurovision Song Contest in May 2022 in Turin. Now they have to pass the German preselection in March and then they need every support they can get from everywhere around the globe to get votes from whole Europe. #ec4esc
They have a live acoustic version of this song on their channel they did at what looks like a radio station studio that you should watch. Also, as usual, fantastic video. :)
This! I hope so much to see a reaction to the acoustic version. Literally my only complaint is the self censoring, but whatcha gonna do? It's still super awesome!
Amazing how the laughter of someone else can make something you've seen before become infinitely funnier. That genuine laughter at the end had me cracking up.
I would definitely recommend checking out their song, 'Hate/Love' to hear more of his clean vocals. There's a good mix of vocal range in that song and it really shows his singing capability without the comedy themed music video (although, we all love that really!).
I like the fact that Julia has gradually become much more comfortable im front of the camera. Doing costumes / cosplay; interacting more freely in-video with Caption Julia (actual conversations),; and the unrestrained laughing at the end of this video made me smile! Love the curly hair as well, Julia! Looking good indeed.
They just dropped an acoustic version of "Pump it" on their channel. A great chance to analyze Nico's voice! And by the way, the butt shots are a direct reference to Eric Prydz's ridiculously oversexualized 2004 music video "Call on Me."
There's a good version of Hypa Hypa with Sasha and Eskimo Callboy where they do a smoother version of the song while roller skating. It's impressive how well the song still works.
Great reaction Julia. Eskimo Callboy is just a fun and catchy band. They just put out an acoustic version of Pump It that I think you'll absolutely love with no harsh vocals, Nico is singing the entire song, and Kevin is harmonizing with him beautifully, it is amazing. They are not a "gimmicky" band, they are super talented.
I love why they made this song, they said that they always see comments from people saying they exercise to their music, I deffinatly do this myself ! So they made a specific song for working out at the gym.
I absolutely love how tickled you were the entire time and your wholehearted laughter at the way the video ended. Really glad you didn't edit that out - you have a lovely laugh.
Julia really come a long way. From being terrified of Demolisher by Slaughter to Prevail to loving the breakdown of this song and even learning the terminology of metal vocals. Awesome to see
Hey Julia I'd interested in seeing what you think of Nina Hagen. I think you'd be intrigued. If you're curious there's a live version of her doing Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Or an early live song, The Future is Now, from 1979 in German for comparison.
As always, another incredible reaction video. I have to say, after several years of watching the evolution of the league of Reaction channels, watching you all fall in love with this music is incredibly satisfying. "Partycore, go off" indeed :)
Hi, Video Julia! It was really nice of you to give Caption Julia the entire video off! Fantastic reaction as always, thanks for the great start to 2022!
Love it!! Absolute banger to start the new year off! Got a non metal reaction for ya: The Dead South - In hell I’ll be in Good Company As for metal reactions got a few: Loathe - Two way Mirror Spite - Made to Please Between the Buried and Me - Voice of Trespass or Disease, Injury, Madness Dance Gavin Dance - Inspire the Liars or Blue Dream or Uneasy Hearts Weigh the Most (all with different clean singers)
The music video reference in this is Eric Pryz - Call on me, but both videos are referencing the movie with Jane Fonda and John Travolta "Perfect" from 1985.
Very rare to see such a true, unsupressed almost-falling-off-the-chair-laughter in those reactions. I played that again three times and it filled me with joy every time :)
what i personally love the most about this song is , that they just combined the kinds of music that i usually mix into my work out play lists. cheesy 80s montage music and POWER. it was so natural. so obvious. so genious
Genuinely a great workout song, I was on a run today and Pump It brought it home, dont think I had run that fast before in my life couldnt disappoint the boys.
Don't how many times I've watched this music video now and yet somehow this was the first time I noticed that there was a deliberate transition in colours and settings within the gym between the heavy and dance-ish parts of the song. Love the detail you go into in these videos! Great work!
The best way to start off 2022! I was oblivious to the finer points of the visuals, like the color selection, until you pointed it out. I just plain looks like every movie gym ever. Let's all keep this energy for the new year.
I found your channel because of Eskimo Callboy. I never tought that this musicvideo can even be more entertaining. You mastered this! And how cute you are. Keep it up! :D
This is just a great feel good song! I'm glad you had fun reacting to the video. It's all good fun and light hearted. The band really puts as much effort into the video as the music to really produce a quality product that brings joy to the fans. So many little details, it's a really good formula. Definitely a Banger Anthem.
I'm so happy you actually caught his reaction at the end after the peices fell on his face! I watch alot of reaction channels and so far you're the only one who caught it! Which is why I love you're channel! 😜♥️
they are completely underrated. I really don't understand why they don't chosen for the ESC (Eurovision Song Contest). They would reach one of the first 5 places - I swear! Because everybody just have fun with the music.
I really like your analysis, especially how you take apart the different parts and styles of the growling etc. On Spotify Eskimo Callboy have released Pump it with an additional Velvet Version. In said remix Nico is singing the whole song on his own. I guess you'd enjoy that!
that laugh at the end of the musicvideo, i fell in love with it :D guess the ending has hit totaly ouf of nowhere. great explanation of details, very entertaining reaction, a superb mix to make a highlight of the day
If you want hear more from Nico "Kalle Koschinsky feat. Eskimo Callboy Castrop X Spandau" "Hate/Love" and "Eskimo Callboy - Welcome To Raveland" Absolute Bangers!
Been a sub for a couple months now. Seen a few dozen of your videos. 12:32 might be the most of your singing voice I've heard so far. I've not had any luck finding your own performances. I want to hear Stage-Julia!!! These E-Callboy reactions of yours are the best! Soooooo fun!!!! 🤪🤣
I was surprised you didn't mention the ascending run alternating between harsh and cleans note for note. You reviewed that section pretty in-depth around 14:15 but never mentioned it. Nobody has! It stood out to me on first listen as really impressive!
Another good one Julia :) and you made me laugh again. You should check out their song Hate/Love, it shows Nico's range and singingstyle a bit different than the other three that you have reacted to. Also there is a Live version of it as well and yeah... You can't really hear the difference between live and studio. I hope you had a good New Years eve and I'm looking forward to your future videos.
Thank you for a great induction into 2022, definitely a great way to remind me I need to exercise this year. Not as loud as last night but much more rhythmic.
Um.....yeah....so 1, happy new year Ms Julia, stunning as ever. 2 What the "F"?? These guys are the best way to kick off 2022!!🤪🤘I got a stitch in my side hurts so bad but well worth it!! 💋thank you!!
Another awesome reaction video. I absolutely love how you completely lost it at the end of the video. I always fall for genuine human emotion and that was like the purest bit I have seen in a while. We need more of that in these difficult times. Keep doing what you do. Keep having fun!
I love your reactions Julia!! You make every video so much fun and seeing you smile never fails to make me smile as well! I also know literally nothing about the vocal side of music and hearing you explain how it works and the different styles of artists and how they execute them really fascinates me! I'm definitely looking forward to watching more of your reactions in 2022!!
How they chose an eighties style Richard Simmons/Olivia Newton John gym theme puts everything they're doing over the top. This groups videos remind me of Bkack Rifle Coffee commercials. I think you'd like to hear a group called Our Last Night, very rangy like these guys.
Damn, you are not gonna see this coment but i do really like your reactions! New subb, went thrug a few of your vids and u are really good at this in my opinion, keep the good work ❤️💯 (srry english is not my first language)
The drummer always nails the humor. That running in place tho! 🤣
hes not running in place if you go back hes on a treadmill xD its perfect
I love it so much how he hits the things backwards over his shoulders. Love that guy!
@@BoG_City watch the making of. Its a masterpiece on it own, he says things in it and you just die
@CantOutRunADuck Which is *not* the same as running in place.
Not just this video, but in Hypa Hypa's breakdown when he's standing on top of the drums just going fuckin ham on the cymbal kills me every time
The best thing: They applied with this song for the Eurovision Song Contest in May 2022 in Turin.

I think with the current cancel culture it'll be hard for them because of their name. But lets hope for the best! #ec4esc
@@tomschu6638 I think they are changing their name, they are atleast removing past songs with offensive lyrics
yeah sadly no chance because NDR
@@papasmjordeig looks like we have found the fan of cancel culture
@@OddballsHobbyChannel come on man, the first two ep lyrics are pretty offensive
Your laughter shows the joy this song brings to people when they listen to it's catchy tunes and the video elevates it more.
Eskimo call boy will bring world peace.
Happy New Year everyone! I hope your 2022 is as fun as this music video.
p.s good luck with the resolutions!
Happy New Year!!!
I made a resolution to not make New Year's resolution 😂
Happy New Year Julia! 🎉 Hope you have n awesome year in 2022!
Happy New Year!
You should check out Dan Vasc’s cover of “Burn Butcher Burn”.
Happy New Year! We went Aussie with TimTams, Shapes, ViVi’s, Vegemite and pies last night. Thanks for pointing them out.
They have a live acoustic version of this song on their channel they did at what looks like a radio station studio that you should watch. Also, as usual, fantastic video. :)
I was just about to comment the same thing! Definitely check out the acoustic version too! It’s fantastic
Can’t agree more…almost gives the song a forlorn vibe…Eskimo Callboy deserves to blow tf up even more in ‘22.
This! I hope so much to see a reaction to the acoustic version. Literally my only complaint is the self censoring, but whatcha gonna do? It's still super awesome!

Also at the end of January they released a velvet remix. Similar to the acoustic but imo better.
they released an acoustic version of this song as well its pretty good
also the Velvet Remix is pretty dope
Amazing how the laughter of someone else can make something you've seen before become infinitely funnier. That genuine laughter at the end had me cracking up.
Mirror neurons in the brain do that
I would definitely recommend checking out their song, 'Hate/Love' to hear more of his clean vocals. There's a good mix of vocal range in that song and it really shows his singing capability without the comedy themed music video (although, we all love that really!).
i wish they made more songs like hate/love. i've had it on repeat for weeks now
I was just thinking this. Hate/Love is a great example of his vocals.
Seconding this. Gives a good impression of the "serious" side of EC, too.
Yes I think your really would like hate/love!!
=)))
I like the fact that Julia has gradually become much more comfortable im front of the camera.
Doing costumes / cosplay; interacting more freely in-video with Caption Julia (actual conversations),; and the unrestrained laughing at the end of this video made me smile!
Love the curly hair as well, Julia! Looking good indeed.
I've had this song on repeat since it came out, it's such an uplifting song!

Also with german Folk Rock Band Saltatio Mortis, which somehow still works
Great reaction Julia. Eskimo Callboy is just a fun and catchy band. By far one of their best songs. I wanna hear it day and night 😜
I love how happy and excited you got hearing this! It's a complete banger of a tune, just pure energy and fun
I love why they made this song, they said that they always see comments from people saying they exercise to their music, I deffinatly do this myself ! So they made a specific song for working out at the gym.
Happy New Year.. Greets from good old Germany 🇩🇪🍻

The sheer delight in your giggle fit at the end of the song. That's what I need and everyone deserves in their own lives haha!

YES,YES & YES! Please :O
Lena Lovich would be cool too 🤙🍻
They released an acoustic version of this on youtube the other day which is quite different but still awesome
I loved it when you collapsed laughing in your chair at the end of the song :D
every time I feel sad I come to this video, exactly at minute 7:00 and that cheers me up for the rest of the day
The whole tiny gym cloths and the movements is a call back to Eric Prydz - Call On Me It is genius

Nico's audition for his spot in the band is great, he covers and older song called "Prism" a beautiful song and a great rendition of it
The perfect reaction at the end of that 1st run through. Priceless 😂😂😂😂🙌👏👏👏🤘💙🎶

I don't know nearly as much about vocals, as you do, but I can get behind fangirling over Nico's voice! His version of Prism is really good
never heard of eskimo callboy untill you made the video's

About the booty shorts- it is a parody of Eric Prydz's video for his remix of Steve Winwood's Call on Me (it was a big video in the 90s).
You are brilliant sunshine! Love you!!
I love the 1-2 punch that you and Tank The Tech provide, you guys do a great job at breaking down stuff in your respective fields.

Happy New Year! Thank you for everything!
Great Video! Waited for this reaction since the song came out.
I love how into their music you are!
Love this song and video more each time. Great reaction and vocal analysis Julia. It was so light hearted, down to earth and fun.
Just find this band recently and it really change my state of mind I love too the transition even if I am a more of metal guy
