Nate, what is required of a customer for a test ride? Boots, gloves, helmet, etc???
I own the 2013 model and have put over 7000 km on it this past summer. I wish they would give it electric reverse. It's not viable to remove that backrest for taller guys, underneath, unless they changed it, is no padding and holes for the bolts. I wish they made the backrest able to go 2 inches further back for guys that are 6ft plus. Other than these minor concerns, I still say it is a totally awesome bike and I love it.

Would it be possible to swap the front and rear brakes so the left lever is the front and the right lever is the rear? Asking because I am an avid cyclist and my front brake is on the left and the rear is on the right.
Tim H anything is possible with brakes! I think it would just require new houses routed from abs module to master cylinders as it won't effect your abs or brakes, just which hand activates it. Just ensure you have the same size piston in each master cylinder. Cheers, ~Nate

I wonder how that giant fits on that thing . I want one but I am also a giant . I sat on a burgman 400 and it felt weird and small. This one looks bigger . I ride a yammy roadliner now but it's really just over kill. It's huge and comfy but 1900cc ???. And repair costs will put me out like a Cadillac. A maxi scoot seems so efficient doesn't it ?
Bryon: You should really check out the larger roomier C650GT from BMW as it will give you all that you need in technology and adjustability for larger riders. Cheers, ~Nate
I can't believe the outdated display screen, please tell me it's now offered like the BMW Motorrad C 400 X, with it's connectivity and map display from your phone's bluetooth connection.
I haven't seen any updates for the 650 to get a TFT but that might be for a reason, the new C400 and C -EVO!! Will the C650 still be here in a couple years or will there be new technology to replace it. Cheers, ~Nate

Love the color! Is the BMW comparable to the Burgmen 650?
There are a lot of technology similarities and the Burgman has things the BMW doesn't but the BMW is more motorcycle feeling in the way it handles and has some more simplistic controls and more aesthetically pleasing to me personally!! Cheers, ~Nate

There were no major changes announced for the 2018 model over the 2017. The big difference of the predecessor models was the addition of ASC, Automatic Stability Control, better known as traction control. Mike: The C650GT has LED DRL in the headlight system and LED brake lights but normal bulbs for front signals and headlights. You can pick up that premium model C650GT that you saw in above video for $12,190!! Cheers, ~Nate

Hey Nate, interested to know your opinion. Since the size, weight and fuel consumption is almost the same, buying used for nearly same price will you take the C650Gt over the r1200rt, or vice versa.
I personally would take ownership of the RT over the C650GT when purchasing used due to service costs that usually come along with the purchasing used, playing catch up. Also, I prefer a clutch and the ability to position myself in a few more positions when on long distance rides with the RT. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions. @@NateJennings Thanks a lot for your time. I do a lot stop and go, to go to work and lately I ride a Aprilia Mana, which with the auto transmission works really good for the purpose . The C650GT will fit the bill probably better considering the storage and weather protection, my only concern will be the suspension. We have some rough roads in the Philadelphia area.
My dream bike, soon, very soon. But until then, it's dodging and weaving through Hogtown on my PCX 150.

I'm not sure when they plan on a TFT for the scooter line, just added it to their premier R line this year so might be a bit to catch on to the scooter line. Cheers, ~Nate
I know right?! The 400 just isn't cutting it for me and this 650GT is everything I could really want EXCEPT it don't have that amazing TFT screen. If they add that then it'd be close to perfect.

Very beautiful bike.. but also very expensive in comparison to the Suzuki Burgman Executive 650 which has mostly all the same features. Just for the BMW name perhaps?.... The choice is of course the consumers to make.

Just buy a new or used regular 650 Burgman. You dont even need the executive model ....
The cost of the bike isn't as problematic to me as the reliability of the brand. Only Harley makes less reliable bikes. Suzuki Burgmans are fine, but just really tough to look at. Years ago, Honda came out with a prototype called the Griffon - 750cc, 4 cyl, etc. That prototype went the same place all Honda's good looking vehicles go - in the trash heap. This BMW scooter is actually not bad looking. I'd only get one if I got an iron clad warranty and free routine maintenance for the first 3 seasons or so. The tires are very expensive.

No radio on this beast but you can add audio to your helmet with the amazing Sena line of in helmet audio and communication, I run the 10C which even features video. Cheers, ~Nate
I have a 2000w shark motorcycle radio 4 speakers on my Suzuki Burgman 2013yr 400cc that's the best motorcycle radio I've had is shark motorcycle radio check it out at shark motorcycle radio .com you like what you see I know I did a car radio by the time you get the wattage you want it draws too much power the shark radio doesn't what is best to hook it up with on and off switch that's the best way to do it.
campbell Roger get some ear buds!!! I had a $2k system installed on Honda f6b..Not worth the money..Your going to enjoy it for 6months.Thats it ! After having to turn it up at max volume going 80 or 90mph ..2 busted speakers it’s not worth and yes you’re going to eventually want to turn it up at those speeds and even if you don’t you have to because of you’re helmet!

I choose the Burgman 650ssss 03 06 16 that I have had 3 of........ and are close to flawless and have had many many BMWzzz....including being in BMW organizations for decades very elitist in the day .......just my opinion....... and in the 60s and 70s they did build the best ....now they don't even build most of them in Germany

Don't know where you're from but in Cali, they were priced about 2.5k above this one in a couple of retailers. The Burgmans 650's were just at 12k, like this BMW, without taxes. Be grateful . . .

I’m going to start posting videos with my bmw 650gt with malossi variator WALKING MOTORCYCLES DOWN!!! I’m so tired of people disrespecting this bike!! I owned 4 motorcycles and 4 scooters and nothing is touching my 2016 bmw 650got with that variator..I go on daily hunts for street glides And 600s..I have videos of my old 2015 Honda f6b and old 2014 bmw 650. After a 3 months I hated that motorcycle compared to my scooter as far as performance. My scooter now can pull away from goldwings and street glides believe or not and I’m going to post these damn videos.
