the things i would do to be able to go to one of those concerts youre talking about. my moms been playing dave in the car since i was born, but i just started really getting into him 2 years ago. im 17, and I wouldve killed to see them in the 90's when they were all so young and when leroi was alive. i watch the shows on youtube all the time and it really makes me upset that I missed their true prime.
When I was a little girl in the 70's, my parents told me I would constantly go around singing "Gonna build you a house, honey honey". So this was very sweet to find.
@humblemonkey1 The DMB culture is amazing, its not a cult, just thousands of people who all share the same core values of loving and living life with everyone around... If kindness is your king then heaven will be yours...-DJM
@speakercoilmusic This might be the second TH-cam comment I've ever written... but I'm a fairly young DMB fan - I've seen 20+ shows from 2005-now. We have about 100 friends who go to the Gorge every year. I consider myself a huge DMB fan even though I only discovered Dave in college. Keep going to the shows because it's fans like my friends and I who want to meet fans like you. I love to hear your stories and experiences. That's what Dave is all about. Forget the d-bags. Love love love
I would agree with you. Its too many high school and college kids only going to get drunk and high as a social thing. I am a hypocrite since I am in college, but I go for the music and the music only. My friends and I have to get lawn in order for us to fall all the way to get to the back to get away from the kids screaming and yelling. I only wish I could see DMB in the 90s. I envy you.
It was the same thing back then. Screaming girls. I resisted the band for a few years and then I finally started seeing them on a regular basis starting in 99. However the first time i saw the band was opening for the Grateful Dead in Las Vegas 1995 without the screaming girls. It was awesome
I honestly think this is one of the best songs they've made after BTCS. Love it, so catchy and happy. Dave gets us hooked on his songs, then stops playing them. Not fuckin fair.
@speakercoilmusic yeah your one of the lucky ones Im in a band too .We play alot of dave like stuff But I was a little disapointed at the concert because I was excpecting alot more jamming. I mean the setlist was great, just I had seen his old stuff and I was hoping it would be alot more like that instead of seeing all the people that just went to go.
You could always make this studio qulality(by adding &fmt=18 to the end of the URL) then get a TH-cam Vid to MP3 converter and convert that. Or just torrent it from somewhere on the web.
@dmbdispatch14 Yeah well back when I was 14 in high school I was one of only a few kids who really was into dave. I ended up forming a band with the two other dave freaks. I feel bad for your generation, because you missed his prime days. I only caught the tail end of them, but glad I got them. Back when he wore pajama pants on stage, played a black chet atkins sst, and every song seemed to last 14 minutes.
@speakercoilmusic It's funny because their shows change all the time so most girls that go dont even get to hear them play crash. Im only fourteen and I went to my first show this summer I had a blast an I agree with you because now few kids listen to dave all you hear is rap it is extremely annoying but im a freshman in high school so alot of the upper classmen are dave fans so I talk to them.
What do you care what other people listen to, does it really bother you that much? I dont understand why people like you are always posting comments like that on videos you dont even like. Why are you wasting your time?
@Daves2hot I love this song too, but haven't heard of How many more. Hook me up man, if you can put that shit on yousendit and send it to me It'd be much appreciated.
@IBYUSunshine DMB culture USED to be amazing... Now it's in shambles. All you see at shows now are Abercrombi & Finch d-bags at the show, because their girlfriends wanted to go... and their girlfriends are just there to hear Crash. Now old school Dave fans are some of the coolest and kindest people I have ever met. I miss DMBML... Made a good many friends from there. Saw 27 shows between 97-2002... However the current crowd started ruining them for so I stopped going. :(
Grant Walker thats because the next generation of people are not well raised besides some exeptions obviously kids dont know how to party like we did ive been listening to dave for over 20yrs and still love it i dont care what the others do or say let them live and learn as we did
I'll be the first to tell you that I hate my generation of millennial. But party like you used to? The kids these days party way harder than back then. Drugs have gotten way better and there are much more ways to party than back in the day.
I have to respectfully disagree. One they lost Leroi it was all downhill. Adding Tim electric guitar just doesn't fit in my opinion. Jeff Coffin is amazing but doesn't have that smooth as silk sound Leroi had. They still are my favorite band and always will be. Just doesn't have the same feel for me as it used. I will shut up and stop complaining now and just keep listening to their beautiful music
@@logandogan272 brah ur insinuating that dave is christian which he is on record saying he is agnostic. Yes his values are good ones though but "love brought him back", back to what? the dude you are replying to is trolling
@@adamhicks24 Dave used to be Christian in his younger years, and he was raised a quaker. He still holds a lot of those values, in a way. But, I dont think he believes in any one religion. When he brings up God or spirituality, it's always in his songs about love. That makes me think that love for humankind is what made him more spiritual again, after letting go of Christianity. Sorry, I was pretty vague. Not that it means too much to me. I don't really know why I commented in the first place.
2023 now. I first heard this in 2008, still come back to listen.

Love coming back to this song over the years
When I was a little girl in the 70's, my parents told me I would constantly go around singing "Gonna build you a house, honey honey". So this was very sweet to find.
Hani. Hani.
Back six years later still digging it.... obviously
+jbdmb look at that. you're above yourself
Timeless music
i love the session songs, they're the best example of Carter and Stefan playing at their best

@twostep03 dave played a very short tease of BYAH at the end of Grey Street on live trax 16
amazing, and i thought i had heard all there is to hear for DMB. bar the new album of course!
I honestly think this is one of the best songs they've made after BTCS. Love it, so catchy and happy. Dave gets us hooked on his songs, then stops playing them. Not fuckin fair.
On Facebook my religion is already, Dave Matthews Bandism!

@PaulAttacks Not sure about Carter at his best, but Fonz is pretty funky yeah.

Why does he not make a version of this song?
Amazing song. Who's going to start the online petition to have Lilywhite and Dave get back together?
@ubergeek81
both dave and steve said in interviews that they would like to work together again
Sounds like Dave teased this last night before Eh Hee!
Love dMb.
@humblemonkey1 - If scientology can get off the ground ANYTHING can become a religion. Dave Matthews is as good as any.

No he doesn't, he's actually very humble.
2021 anyone???
2022 👍
bring back Steve Lillywhite!

You've clearly only paid attention for a few years. Douche bags always went to their concert in droves. Doesn't affect the quality of the vans
I'll be the first to tell you that I hate my generation of millennial.
But party like you used to? The kids these days party way harder than back then. Drugs have gotten way better and there are much more ways to party than back in the day.
Why are you worried about the other people at the show?
they are better every year. go see them u will not be unhappy.

Dave thinks hes God lol
No, he has very Christian values and has even written songs about how he questioned his faith and how love brought him back
