Not just one of my favorite DMB songs. One of my favorite songs. Period. Crazy how so much of my favorite music they never put out (Kill the King, Build You A House, Sugar Will,, Granny etc)
Take a walk Across the Ice Melts too quickly For us to reach The other side. Its cold in here But the sun shines bright, oh warms it up there, Oh the tide is rising higher Look it’s strange Floating by Looks just like ones that Flow out and ride, Oh I will.. Golden age Means golden times Our golden days Seem to have us hypnotized or blind, well… (Cue Leroi)
Love the chord changes during the last three minutes of the song. Was this recorded during the Crash sessions or the Before These Crowded Streets sessions? Or neither?
Arg I’m sad so I’ll take the underhand pitch. Without even getting to it, they had #41 in their first release of 20 whatever songs on albums. Trippin billies was on remember two things. Idea of you debuted in 2006 but didn’t make an album until like whenever. Monkey man was written and some how available for us. There’s also 24 unreleased songs from the stand up studio time. IMO the best album was the summer so far. Somehow not only leaked but given the most disrespectful title by the pirating fans who couldnt take the seconds to stop listening and complaining about it and read the rolling stone article. The album had a name. The summer so far. And it was epic. Changed my life. There is a sound check of raven and grace is gone and leave me praying (bartender) all before btcs. Also there’s a song called #27 but I think that’s just Dave trying to troll you but he gave you too much credit. Alright fun
* David was dealing with some personal issues during the recording of this album...when he came back from the darkness he was battling internally and sat down to listen to the album he wasn't impressed with himself...so, he put these songs in the good 'ol back pocket for a "rainy day"...the "Busted Stuff" album was that "rainy day"...🌬💨☝🏼💜💨💨

Leroi’s sax in this is so beautiful throughout, and his ending is heartbending…
Best DMB song in the past 24 years.
Such a great song in every aspect
Take a walk
Across the Ice
Melts too quickly
For us to reach
The other side.
Its cold in here
But the sun shines bright, oh
warms it up there,
Oh the tide
is rising higher
Look it’s strange
Floating by
Looks just like ones that
Flow out and ride, Oh
I will..
Golden age
Means golden times
Our golden days
Seem to have us
hypnotized or blind,
well…
(Cue Leroi)
Omg! Love this song.. brings back so much memories..
Do you think they will ever play this live lol we can dream right

Neither this is an album that was leaked then abandoned by DMB.
It was recorded after btcs but before everyday. If that helps.
