People dont know it, but in the 80s and anything before that cops were trianed to just find anything that sounded remotely "fishy" - bassically.

Honestly a family with cop and medical connections is both powerful and scary. They know everything, how to cover things up, make evidence disappear, they could get away with almost any crime. If they had two more brothers, a politician and banker, then they really could get away with everything

C: Jay already knew something was up with the "interview" being in a confined space and all the photos being taken off the whiteboard. If they had refused to let him in then Jay would've walked his brother right out the door and the Detectives wouldn't be able to ask any questions. Then he meets w lindsey and then they’re at the fire / crime scene w the nail polish and last scene is Yates knocking out nadia and leaving Erin’s birthday cake ☹️

Jay is very right. When a suspect is talking and slips up anywhere, the detectives might use that as an automatic confession to the crime. It's very dirty and unjustful but it happens

@@joewhitehead3 alibis can be ignored or twisted to near impossibility if they want to establish guilt - my uncle had an alibi when his best friend was murdered and he still went away for 18 years. He was working but at the time of death, he was on his lunch break - he went to a pizza parlour, cameras got him but they argued that was just a guy in a hoodie and could be anyone. The pizza shop was a 6 minute walk from his work site but his apartment required further transportation and they found his friend dead at the door. They determined his friend was shot in the stairwell after a hoodie wearing figure followed him in, however the hoodie in the video didn’t match any that my uncle owned and the craziest part is to this day, most people who lived in the area knew who likely did it. A detective even asked my uncle - why do you even work? So my uncle got defensive, why shouldn’t he work? “Am I expected not to be working?” Then, at his trial mentioned how he didn’t need a job because he’d won multiple lawsuits in the years prior…
