@@truestprophecy Your Cousin? Why does He have any knowledge on whats good? Just put your beats out there as is, and if there trash listen to the feedback and change them. If I think there is something wrong with your beat I will tell you.
This was hilarious! I was actually listening to some of my first beats I ever made the other day and despite being able to hear the early creativity that was there, I physically winced in pain at the terrible mix piercing my eardrums. 😆
I understand where you’re coming from!!! I have some records I be like what was I thinking? And when I play it to clients they like it!!! But the tracks I put a lot of thought into don’t get chosen!!!
5:10 I actually quite liked that beat. There's too many derivative trap beats out there and to my ears this was genuinely innovative. The drum pattern, the swirling chords, the bass - I thought it was decent. I wouldn't write it off
I wouldn’t call anything I heard here “trash”. You clearly have a good understanding of what makes a good melody. I’m currently at the “trash” stage of my development as a producer, so hopefully I can laugh at myself in a year. Keep up the good work.
1:58 😮 I never seen anything like this before 😉 But no seriously, sometimes you've got to make trash beats to improve.....though it it took some of us switching genres to actually get good at production 😂
real shit tho ... after hearing your current stuff, my mind says that the growth between 1 and 28 is more than enough. If you played those two for me 3 months apart, id say you got a shot
Old project revision is a huge motivation which shows your growth. Besides, you can take an old project and flip it into something new. I was really surprised by your project times. It averagely takes me 6-7 hours to make a beat. Perhaps, it's cause I'm not a fan of loops. Btw, why don't color the tracks and channels? Ain't it easier to navigate in a project for you?
Ironic that's exactly what I have been doing this week sorting through all My old projects going back to 2005 lol, alot of trash in there but there is gold in there. I can fix My old trash beats with today's knowledge.
All of our older beats are and were very hard at the time we made them never sale yourself short what some think are trash beats may be fire to someone else
Its so annoying everyone says my beats are good, but I know they are nothing special. I wish I could make something complex and good sounding, but its just so difficult when it comes to chords
You started off making wack beats but in the end you made concrete beats that went hard. I listen to mine and just want to bury the hard drive in the garden. You making fire now though.
lol sounds like me trying to make beats now i didnt like most of what i did lol just didnt sound right it did while i was doing them but after i was like nah is that what it sounded like when i was making it who got me where the punk me camera at lol !lol 🤪
Going back and listening to your own old music is always satisfying since it reveals how much progress has been made imo.
Exactly!
A mi me gustaron!❤
I listen to my old beats and was surprised on how good I was 😂😂 I went from making timberland, dr Dre , type beats to making trap beats
Growth takes hella practice, consistency and not giving up 🎉
That shit be hella cringe though I hate it 🤣
What I learned from this video, a beat is never too trash to be sold. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. keep going !
I keep everything.
In most cases yes that’s true but there’s definitely beats you know literally cannot be used by anyone 😂
@@HOLLASOUNDS i don't, i've never sold a beat but my cousin says im good enough to, idk 🤷🏿♂

@@HOLLASOUNDS oh, my cousin made beats for 8 years straight every day and i’m only like 1 year in
Biggest thing isn't the product but the skills you learned in each process.

You are awesome, really enjoyed this your honest reactions had me laughing
loved the video, puts a lot into perspective!
I know some grudge rap circles that would say that second beat was absolute fire. And it was!
I will go & dig through my old beats now haha.
Thank you for the idea.
Great video! God bless you and your family! 🙏🏼
keep going for sure! 🎉
Yes you never know if there’s any old beats you can change and make better. Thank you 🙏

Yeah I agree that some of these aren't polished but almost all of them could be legit directions to go.
This is fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥
you became a reference for me, so in a short time haha angry that, keep going you will be the goat ❤😉
Finally an actual loop maker making one of these videos
Love your smile
Nice to see the progress you made! It gives me hope that I can maybe improve my trash beats in time :D

I challenge you to do oriental dancehall type beat :)
Those are old but gold ⭐
