I absolutely love this video! Not because you took an "L" 😢, but because of the valuable message it conveys-one that everyone should pay attention to. There are many facets of music production where you can excel within the circle you’ve built. For you, that includes content education, creation, and comedy. But when a producer steps out of their usual space, it’s crucial to be objective and become your own toughest critic. Beat battles are complex. They require a strategic approach, especially with heavy bass drops, because you're competing with club speakers that may not always flatter the commercial side of your audio. In these settings, bass becomes your best friend, and using breaks in your beats-like trap techniques-can be a game changer. In my opinion, you make very commercial beats that are widely appreciated for their technique, global sound, and listener appeal. However, there are producers who focus on crafting music specifically for club environments, where the speakers and setting demand a different approach. Winning these competitions is an art that requires anticipating what your competition will bring and then elevating it. You could have won with more transitions and heavier bass, respectfully.
