Young man (I say that kindly as I'm 71), after losing my FAA Medical in 2019 (and it's taking forever for me to get it back), I began a new career in the second half of 2021 (Private Investigations and using a Drone for crime scene footage - blending in with 5G hits on mobile phones). Your tutorial will greatly enhance my work so "thank you" - your presentation was awesome, easy to follow, and easy to comprehend!!
I'm not a teacher but I do a lot of creative digital work and your tutorials are marvellous, well-paced, well explained, and they cover all the things i need to know. I don't understand why you don't have more subscribers.

Loved the video Jamie! "Abouuut", "Houuuse"...so very Canadian and so loveable!! I'll be watch more of your Google Earth Pro tutorials because I have had problems with exporting animations. The first few times I used it, it worked great, but then I fiddled around with some preferences (can't remember which), the the resulting MP4 was always super distored fish-eye view. I'll keep watching and hope to fine out why this happens. I just today reset Google Earth Pro to its default setting which I'm pretty sure will help.

Thanks for the info, but I'm curious if you know how to change the default starting loc? I found instructions at Google Support but they mention a 'view" button that i can't seem to find in any of my menus.
If you do another Earth Pro feature, can you please advocate for Google to return the terrain altitude feature to the Pro version. I can only find it on the web version. Previous version of Pro had more Transport layers which were particularly valuable for people working in transportation - the various modes could be turned on an off. I do agree with them combining all the off-street rail modes into one layer as the distinctions were not very clear. While accuracy of the marked rail routes has improved, clearly they need to employ people knowledgeable in the rail systems of each country so they they can mark the rail track accurately on maps. Often, a government agency won't cooperate in an accurate representation of its track network.

How do you mark a spot with a tall, vertical beam so you can see it from far away?
Hello, I was at one time, with the Desktop version of Google Earth Pro, I was able to view at a Ground View what our community entrance looked like in 2007, however, when I try to do that now, I can't get the same actual photographs. Now, when I use the Orange man and drag him to the place I want to see at a ground level, all I get is a distorted, blurry image and everything is kind of flat. Can you tell me what's changed? FYI, I'm trying to view, at Street Level, what the East end of Burdock Avenue looked like in West Melbourne, Florida in 2007. Thank you.

Excellent tutorial! I have used Google Earth web version and tried Pro in the past but did not fully understand how to use it like this. If you do a follow-up on using Pro, please include some help with how to use KML files; import, export, locations, etc... Have had some difficulty with using the files.

Hi Jamie, thanks for your very helpfull and well explained tutorial. One doubt that I have and despite routes creation is not covered on this video, maybe you know and it has been covered on a different video: we can use Google Earth to create routes which can then be sent to GPS devices. We can create PINs or Placemarkers in our route and what I would like to know is how to integrate those in the route so that they would be sent with the route to the GPS. Thank you. Pedro
I must have a bumb version of google earth. I put in the directions and see no route line on the map at all. How do you get it to show the route line?

We need to find a location based on the latitude and longitude so how do I enter the degree symbol
Just enter the numeric values followed by a N or S after lat and a E or W for long. The program recognizes this as coordinates without needing a degree symbol.
Is there a version with captions for deaf and the hard of hearing?..

how do you pick a point on the map with your mouse to get directions between to point? Not intutitive at all. Plus I do not see the Long / Lat at the bottome of the screen.???
The oldest imagery I found was for Warsaw Poland. It has 1935 & 1945 images. The contrast between pre-war and post-war is dramatic. The Russians have occupied the city in 1945 and set up AAA batteries near the rail yard that is slowly being rebuilt from all the bombing.
