    But I saw a video this morning of a sister doing this so I tried it. When I tell you it changed the game for me AND I love the wavy texture at the root. My palm roll after washing at home last about 15 mins😥. This really made a difference💘

    I love your videos and your locs are so gorgeous. I have a question tho because of the texture of my hair everytime I re-twist after a day my roots get really messy and unravels is there anything I can do or use to keep the roots intact and neat for more than just a day?

    • @deshara7816
      @deshara7816 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      hi I'm obviously not Keshia lol but you may need to look into the interlocking method. some people alternate between palm roll and interlocking.

    • @deshara7816
      @deshara7816 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      also wanted to add that there's nothing wrong with frizz!! simply tying the hair down or wearing them up will help make them look neater, over retwisting for neatness isn't good, it will thin your roots badly! 💜

  • @Twillimist
    @Twillimist 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm confused....I thought that bun at the root meant a retwist is too tight. :/ Would this hurt fine strands? I'm only 3 weeks in so I can't use this, but if my locs were mature would this be harmful? I have a lot of hair, fines strands and 119-121 medium sized locs. Thanks in advance for your reply.

    • @KeishaCharmaine
      @KeishaCharmaine  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can feel what's too much for your scalp and hair. Im directing them to sit in the cinnamon buns. If they do that on their own then yeah it's too tight.

    @kristaingram5782 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a question idk where else to turn so I apologize if it's off topic. I just started locs through back coming about a month and a half ago. I really want to wash my own hair bc the salon is getting pricey. My question is do I have to retwist or palmroll my starter locks after every wash? I noticed after my first wash, they got EXTREMELY puffy it was insane. I don't want to palm roll too often bc I heard that can be damaging. But it's only been a week since I got them retwisted

    • @KeishaCharmaine
      @KeishaCharmaine  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +FashionPolice19 yes, after every wash. Try washing/twisting every 2-4 weeks

    • @kristaingram5782
      @kristaingram5782 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Will that thin my locs? My hair is Already kind of fine and thin. I wanted locs on the thicker side. And when they are mature, I can wash without palm rolling ? Sorry if this is too many questions

    • @KeishaCharmaine
      @KeishaCharmaine  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      FashionPolice19 if you want thick locvs you may want to avoid twisting all together and just "pop your locs" and yes when your locs are mature you can lay off the palm rolling.
