    In clocks made in the United States, this arrangement of countwheel striking is quite common! You actually can't miss it most of the time even if you tried, because so many clocks made here used this style with the many notches and such.
    Junghans, for a certain time, took a lot of inspiration from American clock movement designs. Perhaps this is a movement that had that sort of inspiration implemented into its design. :)

      Thank you for letting me know. I didn't knew it was that common.
      I knew junghans took some inspiration from the US the star in the logo is one of them. But yea it could be they took inspiration or this was a clock ment to be for the US market.

    When you have a repair and find something like the replaced spring and you can't find a good replacement so you need to leave the replaced spring there, do you let the client know that the part has been replaced previously?

      In this case I will because it is someone who is a collector and they care about their clock. But if it's a client of the "let's just get grandfathers clock fixed" genre, I don't tell it because they don't want to know and if you tell them it only creates confusion.
