Additional Notes: Richeson used to sell Unison Pastels but they never made them. Pastel ground is great for re-doing a piece of art or turning your paper into a colored substrate. If you’re interested in a proper pastel demo or tutorial let me know. I hope you have an wonderful day!
Best point you made for me was “Are you using the supplies you have now?” OMG so true! We often get distracted by “shiny new toys” (art supplies) and we havent really used the good stuff we already have. Thank you! You just saved me from an impulse buy 🤗💖
Awwww, thank you and you're welcome. I have to ask myself that question because of the No Buy Art Supply I'm doing this year. I hope your day is wonderful!
Wow this set looks gorgeous. I rarely work with pastels. I only have a set of 10 from Rembrandt they are fine for drawing on paper but not very pigmented if you want to use on OOAK.
I've seen these listed on Blick's website before but never knew what to make of the price point. Fun medium, but I'm pretty content with my selection of Blick's artist soft pastel line. One day, I may grab one of the small monochromatic sets and see if they're enjoyable for me. I worry the stubby nature of them would lead to hand cramps after a while.

They're very pigmented. They're my favorite so far. I hope you have a wonderful day!

It does take some getting used to. I hope you have a wonderful day!
Today on Blick its $104.95. Im trying to decide if I want this set or the Unison Landscape 36 set.
Watch out for those sales, lol. I hope you have a wonderful day!
I know they are a US Company, but would you happen to know where the pastels are actually made?
Excellent question. They're all made in China. I hope this helps and I hope you have a wonderful week!
