Update #2 I think I know why there is no leader in Outpost "Ragnok Cave". Above that Outpost there is info about 24h event called "Castaways" which switches NPC that are inside that outpost xD Soo very unfortunate as this event ends when open beta ends as well xD xD
Update #1Hey guys! Important update! Ive Just checked and In "Ragnok Cave" outpost The Leader is not showing up there anymore xD maybe it is some kind of a glitch or maybe he is removed for now idk? So just start from there and dont go inside the outpost But go out fot the items in shipwrecks :) The rest is stil the same! Arrrr!
can confirm ragnok cave does not have the leader currently.
if you want to get your ship to 8-9 you need to do world events (convoy or pvp event) as higher tier items drops from these, such as hull armor which is a big upgrade
Yeah it's the best way to get things that can't be unlocked yet especially trying to take on the forts
Yup I got hull armor from the convoys got 2 purples im almost lvl 10 just need cannons

I got lucky I was following a ship that musta been collecting mats for his ship and he attacked the wrong boat and blew up and I acquired all his mats over half what I needed …….yarr
It's worth getting the mortar because you can shoot towers from out of their range. I put fire bombards on the front of mine and I'm wrecking people. I bet the torpedoes in the back too though

You know what? your nick explains your "fire bombard" needs :D :D :P Attack with fire and escape invisible as ninja! :D Mortar is awesome for sieges I just need to get the blueprint and craft it :) Your fire bombards are probably super powerful as they deal extra fire damage ? hmm I hope I will not have to fight with you on some global event :D :D I need some fire protection just in case :D :D
@@pablo1713 indeed and they have 10% increased radius and 20% increased fire damage. A good hit. I'm doing 2,000 plus damage each
OF Course it is! its the only aux weapon atm so why not use one. :D

You can also go now to the Rempah outpost there you can buy 3 shallac for 75
I had low expectations for skull and bones, after playing for 5 hours I quit enjoying it so far, I decided to pre-order it even though I'm against pre-orders
lol my friend harasse me for test and enjoy with them. I was not hyped and finality I preordered and they not lol
I got this boat and placed firwe bombard 2 on the front and sides. I placed a level 2 torpedo on the rear and Motar 1 as my auxiliary weapon. Added Bastion 2 armor hull and 3 regular furniture and 1 purple furniture. I was able to reach boat level 8.
This build is OP. Lierally destroys every non-elite within 4 hits. Amazing!
I gotta ask, are torpedo's difficult to aim when on the rear port? I was thinking of doing the same but just wasn't sure how viable it would be.
@forgedghost1062 I would say they are easy to aim but takes a little practice to get the proper amount of lead off.
It also needs to travel a bit of a distance before the torpedoes are activated (dbl dmg)
I don't usually use my rear weapon slots but when running away it's a lot of fun trying to land those torpedoes.
Overall, I would say they are okay but not game changing.
I think for players that are maxed out they should mostly focus on legendary treasure maps and getting as much silver as possible because the legendary treasure maps is the only way rn to get locked weapons and armour for your ship rn because of the cap
Also if you want to stock up on and bunch of like sugar cane and tobacco the mission for the first delivery of while skull rum was bugged so you couldnt complete it but it was still spawning unlimited ships that tried to destroy you that carried these ingredients lets just say im well stocked in that department now.
Just been Harvesting Mats and silver sitting on 260k silver atm
I think the fire Bombard lvl 2 was the best crafted cannon for this ship, works well with the ships passive detonate. Gives extra dmg to explosives and the ablaze effect is easy to activate as it is a explosive fire cannon. This ship and cannon combo comes very close to oneshoting rank 7 ships
Where can I find Vanguard blueprint?
I am at max level for beta. When I go to the area it’s telling me that it’s a quest item and I can’t buy the blueprint. Anyone know what’s preventing me from purchasing?
bit of a late reply but it could be that you dont have enough silver or your infamy rank isnt high enough,
Imagine when everyone is in endgame rolling with padewakangs in pvp events
Any tips on how to get rank 9? I heard is by doing world events you can get nice weapons and armor and reach it. But I dont know exactly what to do. The legendary treasure gave my rocket 1. I thought the loot would be better
I don't think you can get to rank 9 in the beta. I think it only goes to 6

Is it only me, or we can clearly see little windows for more cannons on the sides and front ? Why is it not available ?
Full game isn’t out, they capped weapons and armor you can get and capped everyone’s levels and also the ships you can get

Problem - the leader who sells the first saltpeter isn’t there in my game. These vendors must move around?
I ended up just looting it from the ships sailing around.
the game is buggy, when stuff doesnt appear just exit to title and go back and it should fix itself
Confirmed, reload brings him back - albeit only sells one at a time but a reload restocks his supply.

best weapons on this ship that you can craft as of beta is the fire bombard lvl 2 because its a explosive which activates the detonate passive and it sets ships onfire activating the ablaze effect. Just use that weapon in all 4 slots unless you have a cannon with "Tearing". In that case your tearing cannon should go infront to brake sails of ships your chasing. Late responce but a responce :)
went to get the saltpeter at the outpost and the leader wasnt there. Not able to buy it

Some leaders are only on certain islands for 24rs I believe
Keep in mind you don't have to buy the blueprint, you will get it through contract rewards as well. Albeit a little later.
Does this only work for the padewakang? Despite people calling it the best ships, for reasons that elude me other than clickbait, i'd rather have the others aswell before deciding on a build.
The ramming one is fast, the explosion focussed one was really fun to me as the small option tho.
The Padewakang is the best ship during beta because it is a base rank 5 ship with a much bigger hp/brace pool and movespeed than all over available ships. If your looking at the other rank 5 ships than yea they can match or even surpass the padewakang but there is no way to unlock them rn. My guess tho is the Vanguard ship will be the best pvp ship.
@@jhongerale7349 I realised that too after exploring more of the map, but thanks for replying! I honestly dont really care about pvp. I hope there will be a rich pve endgame, at least after a few seasons. As of right now i dont see the game having enough content, at least for the asking price. The core gameplay was fun tho imho.

Man I tried getting the blueprint in my hulk but lvl 10 rogues were everywhere. Couldnt make it past them to get it.
if you take the path through The Necropolis you should be fine. Less rouge ships and danish ships are neutral to you. Just be ware of the occasional privateer ship and you should be fine

I build all the ships before Padewakang because I wanted to progress more slowly. So I had a level 6 sloop which allowed me to raid the locations with the items necessary to get medium ship more easily instead of gathering and stuff

I plundered the nearby locations too, I used the small Cutter ship. It auto healed after not taking damage for a few seconds. Between each wave I healed fully ^_^

If you find a place that sells crude saltpetere you just get kicked for inactivity and the stocks will replenish at least it did for me.
They did us dirty cos the Leader is not fucking there

Hey @Kingman7428 ! If you will follow and make John Scurlock missions (Gold main mission line) you will get tools blueprints for free. (redem them at the mail next to the warehouse) which then you can craft at the Carpenter place. But you dont have to have it as you can buy (if you have enough Silver ofc) Shelloc and Crude Saltpeter in settlements and outposts that are shown in the video :)

How do u get too lvl 8-9
Get a bunch of fire bombards, They are worth 68 value. And a armor of 250 value. Put that in the Medium ship and you probabaly are very close to 8. My ship is 8 but I have seen people with 9. You can get free powerful weapons via events and treasure chests

Everyone had that boat. I had that boat but I always went back to the sentinel as it doesn't need repair kit, as it fixes itself over time. Add a storage furniture to it and it really is the better ship IMO.
Ubisoft re rehashing a sub game of their last successful assassins game while claiming it's a AAAA+ title lmao.
Ubisoft haven't made an A class game title since let alone a triple or quadruple A, No wonder their boss was talking about gamers getting used to not owning games, the reality is gamers just don't want to buy what ubisoft dishes up and it's ubisoft that needs to get used to gamers not owning their games.

Man this have turned out to be way too grindy. Spend way to much time doing Ubisoft fetch quests and gathering… like your playing a survival game or something. I was really excited for this… but instead I think I’m just ganna go and replay AC4: Black Flag 😕 super bummed

The grind and build is the best part about this game, it's weeks worth of gaming an coming up with different builds to try, and with having so many different layouts maybe everyone won't play one meta loadout.
I’m just giving my opinion on the game. I play Destiny. I understand the grind and loot. I just feel this game is overly grindy. Having to search all over for wood that people have already chopped…. Where 5 pieces only equal one of the pieces you need to craft a cannon. I’ve played survival games. That is what I feel like I am playing. I was looking forward to a pirate game…but the early game at least is more about gathering and very slow progression for long amounts of playtime…. Like a survival game. If I wanted to play a survival game I would.
When this game was announced literally 10 years ago it was clearly a spinoff of Black Flag trying to capitalize on its success. However it’s been in development hell and Ubisoft has gotten much more greedy and open world grindy with their games since then. It wasn’t even originally supposed to be so focused on Co-op. All of this was added in throughout its insanely long development time. When I heard the change in direction they took adding in the PvP and focus on multiplayer I was a little disturbed but still was going to give it a try. However now that I have at least in the beta… it seems like they made the game tediously grindy to try and pad playtime, which is a common Ubisoft practice these days unfortunately and a huge reason why so many people who used to be big fans of Ubisoft and the Assassin’s Creed franchise have turned away from their products.
Luckily it seems with Avatar, Price of Persia The Lost Crown, and AC Mirage they have started to learn from their mistakes and finally taking peoples feedback into account when making new games. Unfortunately this game has been in development so long I don’t think they really had the opportunity/option to work in those changes and had to push the product out.
I’m not the kind of person simply to complain or jump on a hate bandwagon…. I have a long history with Ubisoft games and have bought and played almost all of them. I really enjoyed some changes they’ve made to recent games and am just bummed to see the direction this took.
If you enjoy the slow progression/grind them that is great! Enjoy the game! I’m happy for you. I still plan on trying more in the full release. I just hope as we get into the mid game the tediousness tones down a bit and it gets more focused on missions and combat and hopefully progressing faster in that direction. If not, oh well. It just won’t be for me at that point.
