Chains are our favorite!! Blue lake is da best. Not that far of a run from chat!!! Is that where y’all are at?? Can’t wait to hear what happens with our boat houses?!?!?
Im in CDA right now visiting where is the best spot for bass fishing? And what type of lure is best. Last night I tried fernan and beauty bay with a jerkbait and didn't get a single bite.
Are you fishing from shore or a boat? Just across from Beauty Bay to the north is Blue Creek Bay which typically holds pretty good smallmouth bass. I’d throw a 3-16 oz bullet weight in front of a 2/0 EWG hook and Texas rig a strike king rage craw. Throw them around docks, timber, and sunken boulders. Drag or pop them along the bottom.
Hey guys just wondering if you have any tips for fishing in Idaho on lake coeur d Alene I’m going this summer and just wondering if u have any tips to catch some bass.
South end of the lake will have less traffic. North end is known more for smallmouth due to rock structure. If you get in the back of most bays you’ll get more vegetation and with that will come more largemouth and pike. A whacky rigged senko is hard to beat. Topwater can be awesome this time of year also. I just had a great day with a chatterbait as well on another local lake. The chain lakes off of the CDA river are also great spots for bass. The boat house situation is definitely going to change the south end of the lake! We didn’t make it to Blue but will have to check it out next time!
Are yall at rocky point then??
That's where we launched. Always less of a circus than up north.
