Morgan brought in an absolutely epic haul. Near 5 ⭐ Shamari Earls, 4 ⭐ Top 100 Kainoa Winston, 4 ⭐ Top 100 Jordan Young, 4 ⭐ Top 150 Elijah Dotson, 4 ⭐ Top 175 Jayden Sanders. That is a ridiculous haul for a coach who has only been here for 9 months.
In defense of how we played for a lot of the season, we had so many moving parts we had to get in place. New head coach, new and unprepared OC, new DC, and no QB. it sucks how the first half of the year went but looking back, the fact we saw the team get better and better even without our best players is all I needed to see to trust the coaches going forward.
By the end of next year I predict the mix of experienced returnees, good portal picks and fresh, young blood will raise the performance above 2024. DL, LBs and DBs project amazing depth, talent and upside…
Well everyone says the games are really won at the line of scrimmage. Defense and offense. What helps make Michigans DBs so good is the pressure the defensive line has been able to put on quarterbacks the last couple of years. Not sure why you didn't discuss that part of the defense as also being key for future success. There are a whole lot of pieces that need to come together for this team to repeat their success of the previous 3 years; including coaching. It remains to be seen if recruiting, coaching and player development are all going to be on the same page.
I think the biggest things Michigan has wrong this year in there own head. Was expectations. Once we lost our JJ. I knew 8-4 was probably going to be ideal. I would have never guessed we beat Ohio. Moore is doing things great.
The recruiting, along with NIL, is elite and will get better. But that’s truly missing are the talent that attracted Harbaugh : secondary elite coaching and analysts. They don’t have a Courtney Morgan who finds west coast elite talent like a Mason Graham, a Mike Malory who brought elite secondary analysis, an elite DL coach, etc…Wink turned it around in the second half of the season but he’s going to need to bring his NFL guys over in the booth and on the sideline. There’s definitely hope.
They need to get 2 or 3 good DLs in the portal. Replacing Mason Graham, Kenneth Grant and Josiah Stewart won't be possible, they are all 1st rounders. But we need 3 guys who will be drafted to make it close.
Dbs great , but if we have no line , we have no success. Need major help with an experienced center, two guards, LT, RT portal and then the defensive line two inner Takles.
They will be a playoff team. As disastrous as this season was they could have snuck in if they only lost to Texas and Oregon. The QB shuffle was the reason they lost to Washington, Illinois, and IU. It’s fine though. They’ll be ready to roll and come back focused this spring.
@@Adam-vs2in I don't think that we lost because of a QB shuffle. None of them were any good. We have Div III QBs in Tuttle and Warren, and Orji should move onto play another position.
@ oh I agree none of them were going to go out there and win games, but has Warren played the whole season and settled in maybe they could have been able to manage those games better. They just needed a QB to take care of the ball and get 1st downs because the defense did pretty good for being on the field so much.
Didn't most of those transfers come with the Coach from his previous team? That seems to happen when coaches switch to bigger programs. They bring players with them. It minimizes the turn around time and gives the coaches extra help when teaching. Just don't think it's as easy to do when it's in the context of what UM is doing... BUT, money changes everything these days.
It’s simple. Harbaugh could do it by developing and using 3 and 4 stars. Sherrone needed the NIL money because he doesn’t have the coaching experience.
Dante Moore who has transferred two or three times now and has been a bust in college? That Dante Moore? Haven't heard a dang thing about CJ Carr in college. What has he done?
Moore played for a Coach that hated his job at UCLA then transferred to be a backup to arguably the most solid QB on the only undefeated team left in college. The judgement that he is a "bust" is wildly unfounded and unfair.
Michigan recruits a lot of guys who fit our culture. Our culture is tough, gritty, confident. We develop these guys and make them far better than they otherwise would be. Aidan Hutchinson Mike Sainristil Mason Graham …the list goes on and on.
Nah- Will Johnson, Mason Graham, Kenneth Grant, Josiah Stewert, Mike Sainristal better than the five top Alabama D players. Stars aren't everything. Character and development are more important.
@@DeshCanterthat was Harbaugh's culture Moore thought he could keep the same thing by mimicking Harbaugh's but he started to realize that he has to instill HIS culture.
@@ammielcoats9762 We’re not talking about Bama, are we? Stop changing the subject. The point is Michigan, unlike Bama, doesn’t have top 3 recruiting classes and find it fun to develop guys on the side as a hobby. Michigan won the National Championship with the 14th most talented roster, something that’s never been done, not by Nick Saban, not by Kirby Smart, and sure as heck not by Ryan Day….Ryan Day spent $20,000,000 to finish 4th in the Big10 and not even qualify for the Conference Championship. Michigan will likely score a Top 5-7 recruiting class this year, and should be competitive at the top levels in the coming years.

Go Blue
The combo of a proper pro recruiting staff, Sean McGee, NIL and landing Bryce, plus Sherrone’s passion for recruiting puts MI among the TOP DOGS.

No fly zone

Agreed. They will have it all together next year. Moore needed more than 1 month to put a team together and now we’re seeing he’s for real.
Under appreciated channel that just happened to pop up in my feed. Enjoyed hearing you boys talk some ball! Subbed
Appreciate it, we're just getting started!

Michigan is, and will always be, Trench U.

Got a DT and oline in the portal and going after a few others on the line. A little patience let’s see how it shakes out.
go blue
Top 20 next season. Maybe, even the CFPs

If we hit the portal right and with our schedule there is zero reason not to expect 11-0 going into the OSU game.
Also. You mentioned you couldn’t build a roster via the portal. Well, Indiana did it with 13 transfer starters.
Didn't most of those transfers come with the Coach from his previous team?

Or Harbaugh is one of the best coaches of all time. Successful everywhere he has gone.
Dante Moore who has transferred two or three times now and has been a bust in college? That Dante Moore? Haven't heard a dang thing about CJ Carr in college. What has he done?
Too early to say moore's a bust he'll have his opportunity when Gabriel leaves
CJ’s brother looks even better as Salines QB and he wants to go to Michigan, they just need to recruit him.
Moore played for a Coach that hated his job at UCLA then transferred to be a backup to arguably the most solid QB on the only undefeated team left in college.
The judgement that he is a "bust" is wildly unfounded and unfair.
It’s too soon to say Moore is a bust. He will more than likely get his shot at Oregon next year.
UM got some nice recruits on defense. Nothing extraordinary. Still nowhere near the level of D recruits as Bama, Georgia, OSU. But good for Michigan.
Michigan recruits a lot of guys who fit our culture. Our culture is tough, gritty, confident. We develop these guys and make them far better than they otherwise would be.
