I think that's a shame; I love to watch many mailbag videos, and I know it's only a dollar, but if I had to pay a dollar to every channel I follow, it wouldn't be affordable for me. I do understand that it's difficult to run a channel without paying subscribers, and I'm not complaining, just trying to put across a point of view. Thanks for the content, as it happens I am doing something similar this weekend to try and make a couple of working solar lights out of 4 dead ones!
Thank you so much!!! This saved me from tossing quite a few beautiful solar lights! I get so frustrated when they stop working. Especially when they're very new too. I hate the thought of having to throw them away! Great idea! Thank you again 😊 -K
Yes the worst thing is soldering the wire to the solar panel. I started using electrically conductive glue to solder back wire to solar panel, and for now it is working fine for more than year.
What do you mean by contact cleaner and fluid fill lubricant? I have several solar lights where the on/off switch is doing the same thing. I have a wiggle them each night to come on. I hate to throw them.
How do you know which voltage panel to get. I need a 1 7/8 x 2 7/8 garden light panel but they offer 2.5, 3, 5 or 6 volt mini panels. The rechargeable batteries are AAA 1.2v and it takes 3 of those to light the light. The light doesn't have anything written on it. The old panel reads: PCB-03210A. 0550 and it is the dimensions above. If I only knew if I should buy a 5v then I could diy my old solar garden lights. Please advise. Thanks
Someone in a local neighborhood tossed out these glass snowman ⛄ solar light in a bulk trash pick-up, since my wife absolutely loves snowman I got them for her thinking they didn't work so I took them apart tested the battery dead tested the panel on 1 its about 0.43 45 the other 0.34 V is this good I put a rechargeable bat but its 1500mah @1.2v and it works, what came in it was 400mah 1.2v can I use the energizer battery in them what says you please reply greatly appreciated
my solar ,lights up thru out the day /and go out at night/ and this perhaps because the batteries are depleated ,whats going on ???could it be the light sensor is messed up? any help would be a blessing thank you!!!
My issue is the lights come on during the day, but go off at night. Basically doing the opposite of what it should be doing. Company sent out 2 replacements and they all do the same. Any ideas? 🤷🏻
I know this video is two yrs old, but honestly, you're kind of my last hope for a solar light question, cos I cannot find an answer anywhere!! My solar lights are all corroded, pretty much from last fall's rain. I've cleaned them, as best as I can, but the contacts are pretty much destroyed. They sell the entire solar light top piece on Amazon, but I'm confused as to how to connect them. Do I cut the wires from the old ones, strip them, strip the wires on the new ones and connect them that way, or will I kill myself...lol? They don't tell you what to do in the ad, and I don't want to spend the $, if I don't know what I'm doing. Any help in shining a light on this mystery (bad pun intended) would be incredibly appreciated!!

I'm gonna use a panel from a dollar tree light to fix my more expensive garden light.🥰 Great idea thanks!!!
Very nice, concise, quick and considerate video making.
Thank you
Glad you liked it
😊 thanks you. I have a lot of light to see if I can save them.

Thank you for the video, it was very helpful. If I can ask, where did you get that battery charger? Cant seem to pin one down.

Do I always supposed to use rechargeable batteries.. because my batteries are kinda exploding overnight
I had one similar to this but it was frosted, stopped working so I took solar fairy lights and put in it. Problem solved.😂
Mine won’t turn off , they are on all day
