Hi @ A Scale Plastic Models I need your help. I just bought this kit too. I wanna use Revell colours so that i can paint the kit, and i wanted to ask you, what colours you'd prefer for me to use.
I dont mean to be off topic but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost the password. I would love any tricks you can give me
@Kohen Trevor I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Great build, but a couple points as a matter of accuracy; the afterburner rings of the SR-71 are ceramic coated, which is a very light tan color. And the airplane being made of titanium and the wheel wells being bare metal, titanium silver would have been a better option (with a wash to simulate grime). Also, the round blast shield that the main wheels retract into is paint red on the outside (which is admittedly not easy to paint) and the landing gear were black. Also, just a side note, the SR did not carry the drone, that was a modified A-12, renamed the M-21.
Great job!!! Thank you for the video. As I can see in the video, it is an advance model, isn't it? This would be my first model and I think I would have a tough time building it...
Amazing build, I always have a soft spot for the SR-71 and the preceding A-12 Cygnus and other variants. Also, what is that stuff with that brush that you applied on the decals?
Hello! First of all Congratulations, beautiful model! I am about to build one so I want to ask you some questions hehe. Regarding the Winsor & Newton paints, are all of them oil? With what material are you mixing them? It looks like water. What do you use to rub the white from the fuselage? Just a rag? Thanks so much!
Hello. Thank you so much. I used Winsor & Newton oil paints. You can mix these paints with turpentine or enamel thinner(Tamiya X-20). You can also use these materials with a cloth or paper napkin to clean the paint from the surface (But I also used a brush on this model). Good luck... 🙂🙏👍
@@AScalePlasticModels Thanks! It helped a lot. Just one more question, regarding the Ivory Black, it says water mixable, did you mix that with water or also with enamel thinner, thanks again! :)
Excellent build! It is humongous in 1/72 scale :)
Thanks for the detailed review. I'm gonna start building the same model soon - and I've never done it before. Very helpful!
Thank you so much. I am glad you like it. Good luck with.👍🙏

Great work on what is clearly the most bad ass plane wver designed. Thanks for sharing.

Доброго дня! Сам чекаю цю модель.
I am comparing 1:72nd-scale kits of the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird USAF Strategic Reconnaissance Aircraft, and its technological cousins.

Thank you.

Cool details.

Hi @ A Scale Plastic Models
I need your help. I just bought this kit too. I wanna use Revell colours so that i can paint the kit, and i wanted to ask you, what colours you'd prefer for me to use.
Hi, I used Tamiya XF-69 Nato Black color. I'm sorry, i don't know which paint corresponds to this color in revell paints.
you're an artist, amazing job!
Thank you very much 🙏

do you have to paint it?

Thank you mate. Yes it is an advance model that is used by NASA for educationl purposes. It is not a tough model. Cheers
Sr71 are flat and semi gloss black only after fly before are darkblue
if i use a brush on the mr. hobby primer surfacer 1000, will it be the same texture as using air brusher?
Hi, I don’t think so.

You're welcome. For this model, I mixed oil paint with odorless turpentine. I have never tried mixing oil paint with water.
@@AScalePlasticModels Thanks! You rock :)
What colors do you use on painting the Tires???
Hi. Mr. Hobby H2 Black and Mr. Hobby RLM75 Gray for front tires. I painted the rear tires (looking at the photos of the plane) with Mr. Hobby H51.
@@AScalePlasticModels "Thank You"...
any links to the materials especially the glue?
The glue is Tamiya Extra Thin Cement.
Fix your camera focus, ruins the otherwise nice video for me
the part count looks so low
Have you ever seen photos that wear is an absolute nonsense. And the black color never had semigloss shade!
it was a special paint.
true but this is my plane🙂
