I love the bench racers on here lol. Having had 2 modified C6 Corvettes, a 2017 C7 Z06, and a 2019 CTSV I can say the RS5 is a different type of usable fast. It’s quick stock and it’s easy to stomp on RWD cars from a stoplight. You can also drive far more aggressively/confidently in the rain. With about 2k in mods they are fast. I haven’t compared it back to back with my CTSV but then again I haven’t driven the CTSV since getting the RS5.
I love the q&a format. I have this car with dynamic ride control. It's horrible and that's what I'd change about it. Terrible damping, super bouncy with minimal improvement in dynamics. I'd ditch it completely.
@@erwinvanriel5843 You know I've had my car since new and never looked more into launching and maybe there was a reason I didn't. I don't need to and after reading your comment I won't. I'll just GET ON IT the normal way and enjoy the driving EXPERIENCE that way which I have. Thanks
I’ve heard they drive awesome in the snow actually! Along with any RS model! But not a ton of people do it still, at least here in Michigan… Just because the salt on the roads ain’t great for them!
Do you experience a jerky sensation when going between 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd? Dealership told me it’s normal and the rs5 just has “hard” or “aggressive” shifting
It's going to be jerky in all modes except dynamic. That's why most owners just set it to dynamic and never touch it. Also why a lot flash their cars with the stage 2 tcu tune. Basically eliminates all factory jerkiness and makes shifts instantaneous and butter smooth, the way they probably should have been from the factory.
If a blown motor or trans is going to force you to refinance your house, that person should probably not purchase the car to begin with😅! Everyone’s finances are different for sure!

Maybe a M4 has better handling if u really want to push it to the limit or on a racetrack. Because a Audi usually has more understeer. But for 99,9% of the drivers the handling is as good as it gets!
modding these beautiful cars is insanely stupid! The engineering that went into them factors in performance for all likely driving conditions... the available kit mods only engineer the horsepower and transmission. Unless you have a crap ton of experience, and millions of dollars for experimenting, you will not be able to retune the suspension to behave safely with the easy to get increase in power.... Just buy an RS and be happy you have the fastest production daily driver in the world, and that it will last forever if properly maintained. SIGH.
This is not correct! RSQ8 same motor as Lambo Urus so u can clearly tune the motor to the same hps as a Urus, The same for a 3.0v6 in a S4 its not even close to its max. Cause then the S4 would be as fast as a RS4. A lot of the motors in a audi are the same motors used in a Porsche but with less hps. Maybe do some research instead of just mumbling something,. U never heard of ABT or KW suspension? Ever heard of anti Roll bars? or Sway bars? Its not insanly stupid! Maybe if u do it cheap but if u take it to a real sportscar engineer and let it tune then its not a problem at all. These are like the most tuned and modded cars out their. Call a real audi tune specialist or look at 034 motorsports channel or ABT they can explain real clear why the tunes are safe! With ABT tune u even keep the Audi dealer warranty.

It is trans tuned

Yes it’s a totally different animal! Very well said!
what company did you use for the stage 1 tune?
I wish I could remember what he used! I’m not sure the owner will see this comment or not, sorry! Thanks for watching though!

Thank you, I’m glad you like it!! And Whoah that’s interesting to hear, thanks for your input!
Most of them seem to have Dynamic Package which includes DRC, and yes it is very bouncy. Not sure who at Audi signed off on that suspension.
I have the 2019 RS5 as well all stock. How do you do the launch? Is it in the manual?
Nice!!! And I’m not sure how the owner did it, but yeah it’s probably in the manual!😄
Dynamic mode, foot (hard) on the brake, mash the throttle, wait for the boost to build (watch the boost gauge), release brake.

Can you explain what is in stage 1 in terms of mods?
Depends on the tune I believe! But light mods, like exhaust and intake I think!
Not a whole lot needed for stage one!
Stage is just an ECU and TCU tune. Everything else stays stock. I would recommend a bigger intercooler though because the temps will run higher.
best upshifts tho
Is the TCU tuned also ?
Yes I believe he had that tuned as well!

That is completely normal in sport mode

A tcu tune will fix this, i wouldnt advice a transmission mount but it will make it even more stiff.
