- There are several fish feeds in Nigeria. We have foreign feeds and local feeds such as Skretting ( Durantin), ALLERQUA, Aqualis Coppens, Top Feed , Bluecrown, Vital Feed, Chi Feed etc. as well as Locally personal made food using Formulae which could be sinking feed or Floating Feed.

Aqualis is actually a local feed produced by olam, same company that produces bluecrown

What about Coppens ? Some say it is the best foreign feed and one should start using 0.2mm with coppens
Coopens is the best for fries till dey reach fingerlings stage. But from Juvenile to table size it's skretting or Allerqua.
I'm based in Jos; we also have Aquamax and Aqua Essence Premium, please what do you think about them sincerely?
I haven't use both before and they are yet to be in South West region. So I can't Evaluate it . They are new products and we have lots of them now in Nigeria. So only those who have used them before can evaluate them sir. You can try to use them on a number of fish and see the result.

Feed ur fish with 2mm for at least 1 month + or 2 month ... 1k fish won't finish 6 bags of 2mm in a month + after that move to 3 mm ,4mm ,6mm

Aqualis is not a foreign feed, it is produced by Olams in Ilorin, Kwara State.

It's good for me to use blue crown from 2mm to 6mm because I am tired of spending 20500 for coppen feed for one bag when blue crown is 10500 for one bag. Will it make my fish grow fastest, because I will be also use maggots and fish Belly to feed them when they are 3months.
Start with 2mm Allerqua... You move to Bluecrown at 4mm

In four months they will consume upto 300 bags because by the end of 2nd months, they will be eating at least a bag in the morning and a bag in the evening. That's 60bags in a month if not 90 for adequate feeding. So Budget 300 bags sir

300 bags @14000 is 4200000 den how much do expect to get from d fish at 4 months?? Even if u are getting 1kg in 4months if u even sell 1kg @2000 which will not reach u will have 4000000 @2000 fishes without even calculating other cost like water changing and co. Check if u made a mistake sir

A fish will eat 1kg of feed to gain 1kg of weight with FCR of 1.0. So, your fishes will require minimum 2,000kg of feed at average of 1 kg weight for each fish. Divide that by 15kg, you get 134bags which is approximately 150 since some shooters with eat heavily and weigh more than 1kg.

As a start, No but when your fish are 2months old yes.... To start from Juvenile it's either Skretting or Allerqua. Both are the best to start with.

Aqualis is actually a local feed ... The production company is in Nigeria. It is good too but I prefer Blue Crown to Aqualis in terms of cost and value. But if you get to the market and the prices of Aqualis is lower than Blue Crown then You can buy it because the prices of Bluecrown too is high now.

Yes ofcos once you haven't open it cos if opened and breeze comes it , it might become soft in 3month of exposure to air and water...

It is really scary how little you know about fish feed...... You are comparing a 5 or 6mm product to what it looks like to me to a 3mm product. there is big protein differences between the different sizes and that will obviously have a impact on the color of the feed. And then the most obvious..... Aqualis is Olam, produced in Kwara state, I know this because I was part of the team that built that factory and setup the Nigerian operations.
Instead of criticising, why not enlighten him on things he needed to know since you're more experienced.
