    Man. RIP Nujabes. I love how he flip this track. I've listened to his version so many times on repeat lol My 2nd Favorite Producer of all time. First being J Dilla.

      I put Nujabes above J Dilla personally. He died to soon to have a large archive of music, yet almost each track was of high quality and deep. (3 albums, 2 anime sountracks and an EP is quite a bit i guess, but he didn't have a history like J Dilla in Slum Village etc...).
      Nujabes just felt so much more accomplished as a musician, i don't get bored of his instrumentals from start to end. Whereas i feel a lot of J Dillas beats relied on the MC to keep it interesting as it looped around.

      Absolutely. Honestly, it took me years to break the tie between the two. They were BOTH my Number 1's. But I realized I was a fan of Dilla for a long time without knowing. My Mom had Q-Tips' "Amplified" Album and I jammed to that album EVERY SINGLE DAY because of those beats. And then there were other songs as well.
      So that's the ONLY reason why Dilla 1-up by a landslide but Nujabes hits home as well. Samurai Champloo is my shit and that's how I got put on Nujabes.
      Either way both Producers are my inspiration for making beats til this day. Alongside others. Hopefully, I can get known to meet and thank my other inspirations before their time. I really wanted to meet Dilla & Nujabes.
      01. J Dilla
      02. Nujabes
      03. Madlib
      04. Black Milk
      05. 9th Wonder
      And of course Premo & Pete Rock.

      When I hear this I remember the smiling faces of my dear friends who died in the past 12 years. I never imagined a time would come when I'd only have their photos and great memories. Their laughter forever with me (as long as I live). I can still go to the places that we loved and honor the great souls who cared about me. I smile and yes... a part of me cries silently.

    A mi lado
    No quiero caminar solo
    Háblame papá
    En qué debo creer
    Háblame papá
    Donde termina el tiempo
    Háblame papá
    Hacia dónde camina el aire
    Háblame papá
    Qué grande es la felicidad
    Háblame papá
    Dónde se halla mi espíritu
    Háblame papá
    Hacia dónde está tu camino
    Háblame papá
    Pues no encuentro donde acaba el mío

    Wow, so was anybody else kind of disappointed to find out that this was the song that Nujabes sampled for The Space Between Two Worlds? I mean it would be better to think that that beat was something 100% original that he came up with. Nonetheless, its still an amazing tune, and the best one Nujabes ever worked on IMHO.

    • @johngood7619
      @johngood7619 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    • @rustyricardo6532
      @rustyricardo6532 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      PauLWaFFleZ
      What Nu did was create a really good hip-hop arrangement of an already classic piece. It's not really different from what a lot of modern artists do.
      IMO it's not a big deal. besides it's not like ice ice baby or something where he just put a shitty drum loop behind the exact same song. he samples the song and creates his own tune with the instruments he gets. space between is much different than the source material just like a lot of nujabes' sampled songs.
      but either way, it shouldn't be a matter of how much the song differs from what it was originally. it should be about how much you like the version you're listening to, despite everything else. that's the champloo way after all.

    • @TheLaloChannel
      @TheLaloChannel 9 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Why are you disappointed in Nujabes' space between two worlds? If you know that producers sample amazing music like this?

    • @johngood7619
      @johngood7619 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +TheLaloChannel I think its more so how the original song melody sounds like a typical nujabes joint but in this case he sampled instead.
