    Thumbs downer I feel your pain, I should have made a longer video but I just wanted to see if it would work, I was pretty excited when I heard to spool.

    this is the best turbo sound ever, can't wait for the next video
    i'm glad the mic picked up the turbo hissing from the intake side, rather than the annoying whistling from the exhaust side

    Is this for the kdw1003 model, I have a 2015 ranger diesel and want to install a turbo on it?

    I heard you need to lower the compression if you plan to run an intercooler and run it under heavy load for extended duration.
    These are higher compression than factory turbo'd direct injection engines. Meant to make as much power as is reliable/ efficient at atmospheric pressure

    Cool concept, hopefully it will have enough rpm to not surge.

    If only you built the finished install with the turbine close coupled like that!
    You probably would've gotten much better results.

      @@WarpedLab I wasn’t sure I was hoping you had the answer because you already talked to them and they sent you the diesel motor for the go cart I was just wondering if there was because your channel is the only one with these new motors being used I’m looking for a quiet operation motor too for my old generator too but it needs to be a 23 hp motor I live in a residential area so noise levels have to be low since the neighbors love to sleep all day lol

    Then instal the intercooler and booom. Power gain

    • @WarpedLab
      @WarpedLab  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well from what I'm told it's better if you don't use an intercooler on a turbo application, because that extra heat in the air helps use more of the energy from the fuel. That's what I've been told.

    • @helmysetiabudi9915
      @helmysetiabudi9915 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WarpedLab that's make sense too. But denser air mean more power. even in diesel engine which need more hot air to combust the fuel

    • @thelol1759
      @thelol1759 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Matt Mikka that can’t be true for every application. I could maybe see it in a small engine application, but lowering the air temperature has some amazing benefits, ( increased air density being chief among them ).

    • @dieselgeezer18
      @dieselgeezer18 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WarpedLab the intercooler cools the air which makes it more dense. More dense=more oxygen=more power. Maybe what you have been told is that the intercooler might slightly lower the efficiency because of the cooler air. But who cares. We want power here!
