I imagine since 50-84 were nano, Tony simply broke the suits down to their base nano components and reprogramed them to be a new suit.
That's actually a really good idea! so basically the marks 51-84 do exist, but within Tony's records/files as alternate builds of what culminated into the mark 85?
@@obscuremcu pretty much since we never see a warehouse full of Iron Man suits besides the original 7 he displayed in his house before Killin attacked his home. 👍👍Actually, once the nano suit was introduced, I would have loved to see his suit reconfigure into new modes like underwater switch to Hydro Mode like in the 2nd second season of Iron Man TAS.

What makes the suit up better is that after the nanites form individual pieces of armor, they click in place. Those pieces initially are not on the suit yet. Only after being fully form do they slide in place.
Gives it a bit of the old mechanical suits

👍I think your guess on the missing marks is correct. With the nanotech he would not need to create a new suit for each upgrade. Plus with him not actually fighting anyone = no one doing drastic damage!

That's what I'm thinking. It does sorta make sense if you view the mark 85 as the same base suit as the 50, and each enhancement and cosmetic change serving as an additional "mark #"
And for sure, I'm planning on covering all the war machine armors, as well as cap, black panther, and Spidey's suits next but I'll throw in videos on the gauntlets and watch from civil war as well!

I have a strange theory but with this suit being completely reconfigurable to Tonys needs couldnt he technically have shifted the suit to look like the mark 7 when he time travelled to 2012 to further avoid detection, it would have been so cool to see a nanotech mark 7! Maybe even using that hologram tech to de-age his face if necessary in up close contact with any of the past avengers. I know the suit is technically advanced enough to avoid detection even by J.A.R.V.I.S but surely someone in the entirety of New York would have seen him flying around Stark tower in a suit that didnt quite match his technology of the time? Always fun to theorise
My favourite suit has to be the mk43 from age of ultron. I know its just an upgraded and recolored version of the mk42 but the suit was just so damn cool
Agreed! They took the detailed and unique design of the mark 42 but made it 10x better with the inverted classic colors! the mark 43 is definitely in my top 10 :)

My guess for mark 51 -84 is that there wasn’t a mark 51 - 84 i think tony called the suit mark 85 instead of mark 51 because he finished his goal with iron man suits, mark 85 was the best of his iron man suits and he mastered nano Technology.

Being replaced in post production makes so much sense in a meta context for the mark 85, but that’s probably my BIGGEST problem with it in universe. How in the hell, after 5 years and 35 mark numbers between 85 and 50, did someone as smart as Tony not build a suit that was not only drastically more advanced but specifically designed to better fight Thanos??
Although that’s just one of the many issues with endgame…
I completely agree with you here! I’m starting to think them changing the mark 50 to 85 was merely an aesthetic decision in order to make Tony’s final outing have a more “comic accurate” look. Unfortunately last minute changes like this are made without much thought on the actual implications in-universe! Had they just called it the mark 51 so many unanswered questions and unnecessary issues like him not accounting for thanos in his newer suits would be resolved. Even thematically, having the mark 50 be his final suit would have worked very well for his personal growth and development of the armors, as there were hints of him making the suits more compact and easily accessible going all the way back to phase 1, culminating into the advanced nano-tech mark 50 which would have been used to save the universe. 😪
@@obscuremcu W take, agreed. Mark 51 would be the right thing to call it, and I prefer the aesthetic design of it over the mark 50.
he was designed to better fight thanos level trhread ,you can see it'sway more durable but Thanos beign Thanos he outclast anything technology can produce
@@Pierre578 Yeah no that’s a cop out, Thanos can be matched my technology and that’s even been shown in the comics. Iron man built a suit that could kill celestials in the comics, and he absolutely could have built one capable of beating thanos in that time. Don’t defend dumb decisions.

I see a few gold details on Mark 50 armor and I see some gold parts on Mark 85. So they're almost the same.

My favorite suit? Certainly not the nano-tech. I really can’t stand it. It lacks the symphony of metal from the other suits. I respect that it’s the bleeding edge of technology, but it’s so lame.
I completely see where you’re coming from, there’s honestly no beating the classic more mechanical look and feel of the phase 1 suits!

Thanks for asking, and maybe the stakes of the situations are overpowering the suits, but i love the Suitcase, the Mk. V. I also love the mid-air suit-up in The Avengers, so i also like the Mk. VII. Unsurprisingly, i also love the Hulkbuster, the Mk. XLIV, the first one. How about you?

Mine would have to be the mark 45, 33, and top spot would be the mark 4! It’s often overlooked among Tony’s early armors but something about it just screams “iron man” to me! Its bulkier frame plus its overall functionality make it the quintessential iron man suit imo
