- The GMA T.50s is the ultimate track-only hypercar from the mind of Gordon Murray. A track exclusive version of the T.50 fan car complete with a screaming V12 developed by Cosworth. It made its global dynamic debut at the 81st Goodwood Members' Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport in the hands of Dario Franchitti.

Love how it’s still the size of a Porsche Cayman
And weighs 1000lb less
A110 anyone
@@Jay-xr3sb well yes, it was the benchmark of G.M this time around when thinking of the size and set up of the T50
On the race track it’s irrelevant though. Valkyrie AMR Pro is larger but looks better and probably faster too around a track.
@@Gaudine the amr pro is not even close to the same thing as this, within the landscape of track only cars.
I've said it before, but you can thank Gordon Murray, and all the folks at GMA for keeping the I.C.E alive and well. Well done.
Don't forget Cosworth, they're the ones who made the engines for the GMA T50, T50s and T33 as well as the engine for the Aston Martin Valkyrie. They are also supposedly developing a V10 for the Adrian Newey designed RB17 road car and the V16 for the upcoming Bugatti Chiron successor. Cosworth is giving enthusiasts the perfect swansong for the internal combustion engine.
(Now if only Yamaha could give us one last V10 or V12 engine for a road car along with maybe a turbocharged inline 6 capable of 4 figure power outputs)
@@CyanRooper
Have you seen the technology that closes the air intake to the compressor side of the turbocharger? This is closed during off throttle periods. It basically makes the compressor starved of air so there is less resistance. This keeps the blades spinning with little energy. When throttle is opened again the turbo is already spinning at speed.
I think you mean Cosworth, they're the geniuses who built that internal combustion engine 😅
alive and well for just a handful of people
they are making a small handful of cars for the mega rich. Its hardly a revolution
the fact that it's just cruising and still sounds insane is awesome
Im pressure sure its wide open, but probably could still go faster in the corners
@@Captain_Coleslaw its not its way louder at full chat
V12s going out on a massive high note, figuratively and literally! My goodness that thing wails, It's glorious.
It’s the advantage of lowering the displacement well below the average, you get that high pitched F1-esque sound. The truth is that the emissions on this V12 are better than every V8 car on sale today too. Gordon Murray can probably make another two cars with this engine before the laws prevent him from using the engine ever again, so I hope we those in the few years left before automakers truly shift away from ICE’s
They're not going anywhere. EV's are a fraud and will fizzle out.

@@srinitaaigaura I don't think they ever gave a concrete HP figure, just that its roughly 70 HP more than the T50 and the T50 is roughly around 700 HP
@@poeticalvision Gordon said it openly in one video that they got the T50S engine to make 770 HP
We live in a time of some absolutely ridiculous I.C.E. cars. This, the Valkyrie, the Gamera...insane feats of engineering.
Precisely the 3 super/hypercars I would most want in my dream garage, right now!
My only dilemma would be if I’d go for the V8 Gemera, or their insane I3-TT, which surely go down as one of the most unique engines ever.
Gemera is the car. Gamera is the giant turtle with tusks.
Make a batmobile.. And then I'll agree.. Till then.. Meh.
Don't forget the Pagani Huayra R
I don’t think you understand what we are seeing and witnessing. This is the modern day greatest driving machine of all time. To be creating a vehicle like this in this time is absolutely unheard of. It’s an honor to witness cars like the Gordon Murray T50 and T50S. Thank you Gordon for giving us this masterpiece🙏🏾
Absolutely right, well said! Don't forget the T.33 too though; that car has the exact same power/weight at the McLaren F1!
@@harpersneil It even looks like a McLaren F1.... lol
@@CrazyCat229no, t50 does
Let's see what times it does first
Hmmm I won’t be satisfied until those skirts are touching the floor.
How F1 should sound!
Who would’ve thought that I’d witness the rebirth of thr McLaren F1! I never got to and I never will witness or experience the legendary McLaren F1 LM/GTR/LT at its finest. But this might be able to change that. The resemblance of this T50s to the legendary McLaren F1 GTR id uncanny.
It's almost as if they were designed by the same chap. 😉
This car will never be raced, I’ll eat my own testicles if I see a t50 at lemans but we all know it’ll never happen.
Watch this space 🤫@@kantina4765
@@kantina4765 I am with you on that. It's a marvelous car but I'd eat my own plus a few other's testies if it's anywhere near fast enough to be competitive in the hypercar class. Murray himself stated long ago that the focus was never on outright speed or laptimes but "merely" on the best experience you could give a driver (with a wallet big enough). This is why they haven't given out any numbers in terms of speed. Not because they are playing coy and want to surprise everyone but basically because they actually don't expect it to beat records.
I have at least seen, and touched them all. Lucky me.
If only motorsport still sounded like this
More of this, please.
Sim review when?
Sound like a V12 F1 engine from times past. Lovely.
Sticks to the track like a day old roadkill.
Nice.. ly said. Thumbs up emoji
The true successor of the legendary F1 GTR, man I wanna see this beauty in orange!
Not to be that guy but really for knowledge,
The F1 road legal was faster than the F1 gtr! The car was so amazing that it had to be tamed to be authorised to race.
@@Viper836that’s not at all true though is it. Unless you mean absolute top sped which is a silly metric to judge a race car by.
@@kantina4765 you're right. Speed doesn't matter this much on a track
But I wonder if it was only in top speed? I remember for sure the horsepower figure was lowered, not just the speed
@@Viper836 Speed was lowered but for better acceleration, plus lots of weight weduction, a racing transmission and a rear wing.
@@Viper836I suspect the weight was also dropped too but.
I feel privileged just to exist at the same time as this masterpiece.
Gordon is an absolute genius. I wish I had the opportunity to drive or even purchased this vehicle. It sounds amazing
LONG LIVE ICE CARS!!!!
Seeing it like this looks really old school. The big spoiler, the tires from the rear, the noise. Fabulous.
This car is awesome😈😈🔥🔥🦾🦾!! I always thought the fan on the T50 didn’t look right, but on the T50S it looks at home with all the extra aero!!
Couldn't agree more
Sounds like an entire grid line up by itself
Beautiful car, beautiful day
It's just British junk, baby! A Dodge Viper Hennessy would smoke this hunka-junk.
We need Chris Harris putting it through the ringer lol
What the problem with Dario?
@@streamcnoremorse3323 Nothing but he isn't the first person that comes to mind when I think of someone that will push a car to its limit.

@ArthurZakaryan23
I guess you're more of a social media fanboy! Franchitti vs Harris, not much of a contest really!
One is a multi Indycar title winner, and the other one, well, isn't 🤔
@@truthsayerq7264 Right, that's what it is, you have me nailed down. Looks like I can't get one past you huh.
My comment has nothing to do with racing credentials, clearly Dario has Chris beat there by a long shot, my comment was about whose driving style I prefer more when it comes to exhibition like driving where it isn't about a lap time.
A truly masterful creation of automotive engineering and design. Sounds quite a bit like the old jag xjr Le Mans racers of the 80s/90s
Sounds much better than the "standard" T.50
T33 sounds even better 💥
Ele mal acelerou, se o giro subir vai soar agudo como o T.33 e a versão de rua... todos tem um ronco absurdo
I reckon the detuned T.33 sounds the best.
Agree, T50 just sounds a bit off for some reason
You should hear the T.33. Something about the way the exhaust it routed that differs from the T.50...it sounds incredible.
thanks Mr. Gordon and all the team at GMA
Unreal!!!!!!!!!!!
If technology and functionality and art had a baby, would be this or fighter jet.❤😊
Absolutely addictive!
Going backwards has never looked and sounded so beautiful! Love the ICE era

That’s because it’s a Zonda.
It's hard to explain, but you can quite literally see it making grip, each tire is so well aligned, making such perfect contact with the ground at all times, it's just incredible to watch from a suspension design perspective, the car is mid engine perfection.
it's light AF, almost same weight as F1 car at the start of the race

This one and Huayra R have best sound at the moment. If this rev until 12K, for sure it will sound even crazier.
Huayra R sound is No.1 of all V12s for me. That thing is screaming as though its revving to 18000 rpm thanks to using 4 stacked pipes instead of 2. Gordon wouldn't have ever used 4 pipes now because, weight. 😂
This has got to be the best sounding car ever. What a marvellous machine by Mr.Gordan
Dario in full send mode in this is just glorious.
That V12 .and its not going at full chatt.....i think its gonna go down as 1 of the greatest driving machines . Sir Gordon Murray, you have made once again an all time monumental masterpiece.
I’d be fuming if I was McLaren 😂 but he’s the daddy
Why exactly? This is a completely different car...
@@staLkerhuMaybe because he could have made that car for them?
@@staLkerhu because Gordon Murray was literally the guy behind designing cars for McLaren in the 1990s? Even overseeing the McLaren F1.
@@ags911 I'd genuinely like to see modern mclaren's take on the T50. Looking at this specific model it's like a modern interpretation of the GTR kit for the F1. The recipe is all there just modernised. On mclarens side they've obviously found a strategy with their standard line up but say very rare examples like the speedtail? They've both got benefits and some downsides. I think most people would think nothing big about a speedtail going past them until they seen the wild rear end. I'd imagine there's a lot more mclaren shops you could go to for work, Though even over here in scotland. I have no idea where you'd get this serviced nevermind the US. I feel like you'd almost need to drive up and see Murray and the factory themselves if you had issues.
Don't you wish old buddies could just kiss and make up? But yeah i think Mclaren became more mass-produced focused which rocks for their company but takes away from that exclusive feel when every steering wheel, interior dash and stocks are all out a base model lower end mclaren. akin to the 06 Ford GT having regular ford stocks. Just more spread out to the entire dash. In ten years i'd love to see one of these and a speedtail going for auction head to head. I think the Speedtail is more expensive now and totally sold out. T50 feels like a boutique car that was made purely with function, style and performance in mind and i think it's completely reserved as well. Both are absolute insane tiers of cars but depending on numbers and different specs made, I think i could see the T50 beating it out in value.
@@Cogglesz It does remind me of the F1, especially the concept of the seating position if it correct. I think it could have been manufactured in larger quantities with McLaren but perhaps he wouldn’t have the freedom he has now on his own?
beautiful sound + sight.
so they added the rear wing in the end
simply amazing.
It’ll fail every sound test in England at a trackday 😂 fantastic amazing what words can you use to describe it

My face did a jazzy stankface after the first flame spit
Epic. Very epic 👏😁
Oh this is giving me Murcielago GT1 vibes! Would absolutely love to see one of these made into a LM Hypercar or GT2 or whichever has the least exhaust restrictions.
A 0 to top speed run in this car would be the most eargasmic video ever🤣
Gordon Murray is The Real Deal,Shame You Have to Be Super Rich to Have Any of His Cars.
But This Engine Sound is One of the Best I Have Ever Heard including F1 V10s And 12s And its Going to 12,000 rpm With Normal Service Routine !!!!!
To me this is the best car in the world. Finally we get super high revving engine that is extremely light and comes in a manual. When so many cars have been ditching the lightweight high revving, this car comes and shows the others what people really want.
