Hey there! I noticed you had to reupload because of copyright issues. I just had the same issue with this same reaction video. I’m a little confused because doctor mike and doctor hopes sick notes both have done a reaction to the same show and they seem to be fine. Because technically we are under “fair use” because we are making an educational video and adding value to it. I’m just wondering how you went about it and if re-uploading it even helped. Because they found my video within the first 12 hours and took it down and I would hate to get another copyright strike.
I hope you continue this. The first couple of episodes are more basic since they're mostly introducing the cells and laying down the basic structure of things. Some of the later episodes are really great. The anime is based off a manga and someone actually made another manga called Hataraku Saibou BLACK which is a similar concept but takes place in a body of someone with poor health. It's a bit darker and deals with some different issues and it pretty interesting.
The neutrophils can be seen consuming the bacteria. The macrophage waifus are shown in the later episodes, cooking it up. There's your phagocytosis. Also, when it comes time to "recycle" cells, they're just gonna wash their clothes.
Heh, in Cells at Work Black they actually show the cells being eaten in the spleen. It's behind a screen, but it's heavily implied... Fortunately the main series is a little cheerier.
I actually just binge watched all the episodes of this while procrastinating studying so I find it hilarious that you chose to react to it ❤️ it does get a bit more detailed in future episodes when more cells are involved, you should keep watching!!
Thank you guys for watching! Make sure to stay subscribed because I have been putting together my USMLE step 1 preparation video that I promised. So sorry for the delay! But it's on its way! Be sure to leave a comment and let me know if you found this fun and if you want more, I think the future episodes look super fun! Be sure to stop by my instagram and say hi as well! You guys are awesome!
It has been a while, but are you still considering continuing the series? I find your opinions very interesting, and the second season is in the works so episodes and popularity won't end quickly :)
I've watched about... five different doctors and medstudents react to this specific episode now, and you're one of two that knew about pneumococcus being able to attach to red blood cells. I'm assuming it's the hemoglobin they attach to? But yeah, most of the other doctors were like "Wait, can they do that?" or "But they're bacteria, they can't attach to cells...". You must study a different field from them or something.
i hope you continue this sometime! I've watched a couple of reactions to Cells At Work, but you're the first doctor to say that particular germ is notable for hitching rides with red blood cells, which i found to be very enlightening.
Omg this is exceptional timing I have an exam with immune system info on it and I was so confused looking for resources and I was taking a study break and watched this for fun and this is the most helpful coincidence ever thank you I get it now hahahaha
OMG, this seems like a great anime. I think I am going to start watching it. I love coming to this channel because I always find useful things and get positive vibes. :)
I really hope you do more of this! I feel like I have to let you know, though, that when I go to your channel this video doesn't appear on your listed videos. :(
be honest this is one of my favourite shows and if I have kids I want them to watch this the only subject in school I ever liked had to do with science lol
It's insightful to hear your commentary. I feel like you can release a parallel commentary track/script in your time matched video with subtitles layering medical context. I'd love to read your knowledge as I watched the show for deeper insight.
Notice the Pneumococci's color? They're Gram-positive! Also, "Bye-bye, germ" is a valiant but futile attempt to translate a Japanese pun. "Bacteria" in Japanese is "baikin." What he actually said was is "bye-baikin."
Had to be reuploaded because of copyright! 😑

MedBros: I wonder how in depth this show will go
Me: Just wait until episode 2 when they start talking about L-selectin!

Why does everyone skip the platelet scene when it’s so cute!
Probably copyright
Limited time, I'd guess. They have to skip _something,_ and they have to keep the main story beats, so...
I actually just binge watched all the episodes of this while procrastinating studying so I find it hilarious that you chose to react to it ❤️ it does get a bit more detailed in future episodes when more cells are involved, you should keep watching!!
My favorite hidden detail was how the platelets were unloading calcium ions.
Thumbs'ed up for the background end music! Love this show. Can't wait for season 2.

I felt so smug when he smiled at the white blood cell. Like, yes king, surpass all expectations!
The first 50 seconds have already brought me immeasurable joy!
“The special force would be the T Cells” and then ouR KILLER KING APPEARS
I LOVE THIS
I love when medical students and doctors see this for the first time super cute!

“ I think I’m a little more excited about this show” I KNOW RIGHT!?😆
i hope you continue this sometime! I've watched a couple of reactions to Cells At Work, but you're the first doctor to say that particular germ is notable for hitching rides with red blood cells, which i found to be very enlightening.
There is a Megakaryocyte character in this series. Although it's not directly implied, she's kind of the platelets' mom, and she's buff as heck
I LOVE this show! I hope they found the time to watch the rest of it.
Would be neat to see you and Dr. Hope both take this on. He might need you to fill in the anime tropes for him. ;)
Bye Bye Germ
Holy moly he’s so soft.
Don’t mind me, just fangirling for a cell that lives for about 2 days
Omg this is exceptional timing I have an exam with immune system info on it and I was so confused looking for resources and I was taking a study break and watched this for fun and this is the most helpful coincidence ever thank you I get it now hahahaha

If you decide to watch this again, it's on Netflix and in English too :) OH and there's no romance lol. They're just friends.
Yeah they certainly kept teasing the relationship between the two
3:54 LoL. The phone sound the moment she opens the door is the best!
Thanks for the video! Hope you do more episodes from this series!!
Do you think this would be a good idea to write for my personal statement for an undergraduate course?
There needs to be more anime about science and history.
This was so interesting to watch!! Keep doing more please
It’s such a cute anime!!! I hope you watch all of it cos it’s actually really good!
5:10 it doesn’t go into more detail because this show is for the masses. They have to dumb it down for plebeians like us.
Next Episode! You'll love the rest of the series! Can't wait! 😎👍
I didn’t know there were medical anime’s. I used to watch anime/read so much manga!
I really hope you do more of this! I feel like I have to let you know, though, that when I go to your channel this video doesn't appear on your listed videos. :(
I knoooow! Darn that copyright 😖
1:19 tho 😂😂

It’s like it reacted to the blood on her hand XD
be honest this is one of my favourite shows and if I have kids I want them to watch this the only subject in school I ever liked had to do with science lol
Omg I am so happy you reacted to this! :D
hahahah totally didnt expect this!
It's insightful to hear your commentary. I feel like you can release a parallel commentary track/script in your time matched video with subtitles layering medical context. I'd love to read your knowledge as I watched the show for deeper insight.
You and Doctor Mike has same reactions too. Cool.
I love this anime
Please do the rest!
Cells at work is epic.
I love the show and it would be interesting to know your thoughts of the other episodes.
So...no more CaW reactions?
Mama Megakaryocyte🥰❤ (CONTINUE the show if you don’t understand)
“ArE KnOwN tO tAkE A RiDe oN ReD bLoOd CeLLs”
At this point just shush and watch.
I love your videos!! Can you react to Grey's Anatomy and The Good Doctor? I think it would be awesome!
you missed a ton of details! why was it purple? Because of the STAIN used to identify it! watch the rest of the series!
I’ve watched several of these, & none of medical students/doctors explain this show as well as Dr. Ed with notes....
True
LOOKS LIKE WE GOT A NEW RECRUIT BOYS!!!!!!
I got to see your reactions and it was nice
Notice the Pneumococci's color? They're Gram-positive!
Also, "Bye-bye, germ" is a valiant but futile attempt to translate a Japanese pun. "Bacteria" in Japanese is "baikin." What he actually said was is "bye-baikin."
It was really interesting to listen to the explanation
I love the detail
