What I love about your channel is you always are trying to help us to catch fish. You are definitely a teacher. And let me say for that I am very thankful. Thank you sir
You're the man bro! This summer has been the worst. 50+ skunk trips. Only 1 good size channel no blues or flats. About to lose my mind lol. I think my problem is that I'm putting my baits out too far even though originally i thought they weren't out far enough. Do you use this same principle in a lake? I've always been the type to just bomb it out and wait but that only seems to work in my grandpas pond that i fished my entire childhood. So i definitely have to change my tactics
Lakes are a whole other monster. Catfish move in shallow 1 to 3ft after dark especially during the summer months. But daytime I'd be looking for drop offs and steep banks with structure.
I was down at Stump Hole Wednesday checking out new log piles to fish the tournament tomorrow. I put on a bluegill head and as soon as it hit the water I had a 3lb smallmouth on. First smouthmouth I caught in a few years. With that same head 5 minutes later caught a 2lb flathead. The bite stop so we moved up river.
That's insane! The river is so competitive that you can catch small mouth on cut bait. Lol. I've never fish that stretch before. Been there alot though. Thanks for watching man.
Been catching big channels all spring down Lawrence Port. 4 flatheads so far this year one 38 one over 50. You should come go on the boat and do a bank pole vid
@Ratemyeditz in a riverine environment, the outside bend will almost always be you're best option. Catfish love current. Don't ever let anyone tell you different. Though just don't like swimming in it all day. Pick a piece of structure that is substantial enough to block current with a little bit of depth. Fish a foot above it.
Not In my experience. Big fish move shallow given a few parameters are met. Back flowing current, structure, food sources. It's about timing as well. Give it a shot. It may surprise you the size of fish you can find under 4ft of water.

You're welcome! I got a lot more coming. Doing a bait video coming up soon. All about keeping it alive, how to hook it it, and more.
Cannot wait. You can bet I will be watching

Funny how guys on the shore will cast out into the river while guys on the boat are casting towards the shore.
I know right.🤣 thanks for watching man!

Get with my brother and I'll take you down at the boatclub to fish off the bank there. Easy fishing and you can park right where you fish.
For real!? That would be the coolest thing! Thank you a ton.

I haven't done bank poles in 20 years lol. I'm selling my boat and buying something new.
You know... that day I couldn't decide if I wanted to go there or Bedford. I grew up at Lawrence port.
Great tips and nice channel cat.👍
Thank you!
