Thanks for watching!
I like how they have mowed a path for the dog walk.
Good vlog as always and a lovely area. As you say, what 3 words would be great in those situations. That is why I always study the approach and the site entrance on satellite view on the maps the night before, then I have an idea where it is and what’s around
Another great video
Glad you enjoyed it
I love motorbikes as well
Henry cole lives 12 miles from me in clanfield Oxfordshire
I've been watching The Bike Show recently. Great show.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That first bit was basically my drive to work. A lot easier than it was when I was an apprentice mind.
Nice drive to work. 🙂
Thank you. Love the bike tours.
Lovely area, and that restaurant in the previous bank looked great! Wonder if you liked the soup? Nice video, Bob 👏👍
Yes, I enjoyed the Cullen Skink.
Lovely video, the campsite looked nice and enjoyed the cycle ride to the town. See you in the next one x Julie and Tony x
Geat video as always. I wish more sites and CAMC would start using What 3 Words. As an emergency service worker, they are so useful, as you say Postcodes are not always great out in the sticks as they cover larger areas.
Would be very useful on sat nav too!
@BobEarnshawMoHo - What3Words had a recent update, which means you can use both Google maps and Waze now. It's really useful. Hope you're both well.
Thanks for these brilliant vlogs Bob & Jenny, so useful to see what the approach roads are like to these sites, if I go anywhere new I always check to see if you have been and what’s it’s like, always a worry with an 8ft wide caravan
You passed by our house, if we'd known you'd have been welcome for a coffee and a wee scone. 😉
Thanks for sharing your video, the sat nag keep getting you lost right at the end, ( site entrance) I’ve never tried the app three little words, have you just wondered if that would be any better ?, 👍👍🐾🐾.
I thing a combination of the Avtex to make sure we avoid low bridges and Google maps, what3words to find the entrance is the answer. We'll be talking about this in a future video.
Looks fantastic site, town and area. We are fancying visiting ourselves. What is the midge situation like though as, for us, that it always a major consideration when visiting some area in Scotland in summer. Hoping you can give good news.
Happy to report no midges anywhere. It was either too cold too wet or too windy, or all three. Midge are less of a problem in the east.
Sounds like you could be into bikes Bob? Good knowledge of a 1250GS. Love my bikes and our van of course! Enjoyed your visit, good to get ideas of nice places to go! 👍
I'd love a bike but I'm not allowed! I watch the Missenden Flyer and The Smoaks.
I watch the Missenden Flyer too! We're similar in way as I'm a biker and a flyer, but also a campervanner which I also love! 👍
There lot of nice place to visit there Cullen and crovie and the WDC Scottish Dolphin Centre at Spey bay and port Gordon beach if you want to see the seals or duftown Sidings Cafe old train for best food
Hi Bob, reference navigation, postcode, & club site positional errors. You can be very precise if you use latitude and longitude references. If you place your curser onto the location of a site entrance on Google maps, then left click the lat and long reference appears. There’s two methods of recording this, you just have to set your satnav to the same method as Google maps and you’ll always precisely find the entrance. Check it with street view. Hope this helps in the future.
Yes, but just using the POIs for Campsites that the camping and caravan club provided for the sat nav are not very accurate, just within 200 metres.
Sorry Bob, I didn’t explain myself properly. I meant don’t use point of interest locations, use the lay & long. We use our Avtex satnav with the caravan club location for example. But at the same time run Google maps on our vehicle satnav with the actual lay & long loaded for the entrance. We confirm it’s the entrance by using street view. We then know where the sign is located and what it looks like. You can also use lay and long in the Avtex. I keep my vehicle satnav (car play) on silent.
@gnarlyboot477 thanks for explaining. We should check out Google maps first.
We were there a few weeks ago, it was very quiet. Are there still hundreds of rabbits on the site? The castle is very interesting and worth a visit.
Yes Poppy and Tara were very pleased to see so many rabbits to chase. I filmed the castle in the next video.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo we were in the same field as you. One day after very heavy rain the grass was full of large puddles, we spent some time watching an oystercatcher having a bath in them.
Cullen Skink is delicious!!
You missed the best bit of Aberdeenshire ... the north east of the north east so to speak ... the Aberdeenshire and Moray costal towns abd villages. My favourite being Fraserburgh where i currently am ... staying on my favourite CL .... Smithy Croft at Tyrie just outside the town.
As always, never enough time.
Banff has nice site , Banff Links, , right on a large beach with great coastal walks .
Watch out for the rabbits!
Yes, there were a lot!
We were there a few weeks ago
What happened to your friends MG, Noticed a Kuga beside his van , it's good you're wife can keep you right 🤔🤔
You're confusing Glyn and Sharon @thebeckwiths with our friends Bob and Aileen McKay. 😀
Lovely video and the restaurant looked nice. Looks a nice area.
