So nice of you to say. I really appreciate you taking the time to leave such a kind comment. You are welcome. Thanks for watching the video and leaving positive feedback.
I had a similar experience. I was on a route 66 trip heading west approaching Amarillo. About 4:30 in the morning. I turn on the radio and when on comes Amarillo by morning by George Strait. Well, my experience is a little like yours I stopped at the big steak ranch restaurant had myself a good meal, but there was nobody singing in the restaurant at the time! Good luck with your channel and maybe I’ll see you on the road! Thank you for the lesson. I need to practice my guitar.😅
That is a good story! I love being on the road and seeing those kinds of places. So many places to see and to experience out there. Thanks for sharing your story and hopefully learning Amarillo by Morning will come easy to you. All the best Richard!

Thank you so much Tony! I am honored! I won't take that title lightly. Absolutely I will do that song. I love Lee Greenwood's voice and that is a phenomenal song. Sounds like the ideal song for the Fourth of July!!! Great request and suggestion for a guitar lesson video .Your time, comment and video idea is very much appreciated Tony! All the best!
Oh,great request! Lee Greenwood. When I hear that song, takes me back to "desert storm". I know that song was originally written for the Vietnam War. So,thank you.

That is my favorite country song ! I would like to have you do Paper Rosie by Gene Watson ! I met Dallas Harms the writer of that song at a songwriting group in Toronto many years ago ! I have several classic country songs on my you tube channel but nobody really knows about them yet ! LOL
It is uncanny brother we play 99% of the same songs! Love this channel. You do an awesome job! In my experience, I was the only one in our group who could play the fiddle...so guess what my part was? Lol.. Great job brother..keep the good music coming!
Shane, these are great videos! I learned how to play guitar in 1969, but unfortunately over the years I’ve played on again, off again. Just started playing again after a 6 year break. I mastered barre chords many years ago, but now find I can still easily do them except now I have trouble with the B major chord. Don’t know why. For some reason I can’t make my little finger cooperate! Crazy! Anyway, good job on these videos!!
Could you do something by Alan Jackson? Maybe Chasin' That Neon Rainbow? I have found your tutorials so awesome! And I am so happy I found this channel. Keep up the good work! And great taste in music!
Hi Is there an alternative for F sharp minor if I’m struggling big time with barre chords? Like you this is my favorite song by George and it sucks because I don’t transition to barre chords fast enough. I can plY all open chords though. Help! What about a regular F or Fmaj7? I know it has to be sharp but I don’t know what else to do. I’m really getting frustrated that I can’t play barre chords after a year of trying. Thanks buddy!
I think you can get way with playing the chord without pressing down on the top string. The 6th string. See if you can press down all the strings needed except the 6 string to see if that works. I can make a youtube shorts videos showing some ways to play barre chords that might make it easier if that helps. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Hi Shane! Where's my song? You're lucky You're doing a good song by George Strait! I'm just kidding. How are you? I do thank you for doing these videos!
Thank you Hazel! I appreciate you watching the videos and commenting. Remind me again of which one you would like to learn and i will be sure to do it soon. I hope you are doing well!
@@countrymusicguitarclassics I'm doing well and having a blast learning my electric guitar. I've learned Em,G,and C strings thus far. "Go rest high on that mountain" by Vince Gill. Thank you for your reply 🙏 and Time!
Thanks Connie. It might be. Sometimes I forget about the strumming pattern once I start teaching the song and get into playing it. A lot going on at one time. haha. Thanks for watching and thanks for your comment.
just for the beginners, the strumming pattern he's doing is DD UU DU. if you turn the play speed down you will see.
Ok thank you! I will look into that!
A man of his word! We didn't wait long at all...Congratulations on hitting your goal, and thanks for another great lesson!

Leave that chord out and most people wont notice it !
I have the same glass from there
haha that is great Judy! I enjoyed my time there!
What does open and closed chords mean?
I love this song and your lesson is very clear. Would you consider doing "rodeo" by Garth Brooks?
Thank you very much Jim! Sure I can do that one. Thanks for the request and be looking for it in the future.
Great video! What model Takamine are you playing? I want to get a Takamine but haven’t decided which one.
Good stuff!! Have you done cash’s “When the man comes around.” Yet? That would be a good one.

Can you play put another log on the fire
Who is that by Jim? I know A Fire I can't Put out by George Strait. Or is that a different song? Thanks!
Tom paul glaser
fun lesson, but i'm seeing/hearing D DU UDU on that strum, rather than simply UDUD.
Thanks Connie. It might be. Sometimes I forget about the strumming pattern once I start teaching the song and get into playing it. A lot going on at one time. haha. Thanks for watching and thanks for your comment.
@@countrymusicguitarclassics yes, i think once you get to know the song well enough you just feel it, rather than counting strums. thanx.
The great Chris LeDoux did it years ago before George strait .
Is that right? Chris was great!
@@countrymusicguitarclassics yes he was
And Terry Stanford did it first!
Great lesson, but 4 minutes before you play the first chord? 😳😜
Haha. I am working on it and trying to get better about getting to the point and making the videos shorter. :-)
Did you know they call George strait king George strait
I think I have heard that before. He has earned that title!
Yes he has
First chord of the song...4 minutes in.
Video starts at 4
Ha shan how about just give it away.
Yes will do! I love that song!
Talks to much😢
Don’t like that b7 chord. Loll
I know it. It is like playing Twister with your fingers.
Way too much talk...irritating
Let us not forget this is a Terry Stafford song. With out Terry George would be no body.
Yes! Great point Richard. He did it way before George.
really enjoyed your tutorial , do you have instagram account to follow ?
