Marcel is the best and has the most effective WC technic, super compact, agile, even able to recover from slipping onto the inner leg in GS using hand and still be in time for the next gate (Tedd could not do that because of the differences in technic). He's just taking chill on this WC season, plus he's missed training for several seasons. You've gotta hit a huge number of gates to be stable in competitions. If he goes serious he'll be dominating again for sure. I get him, he couldn't stay away for too long when all the fun is happening especially when VanDeer is going well on the rails.
I don't think Marcel is back for the real competition, he's mostly to promote his skis and to feel race adrenaline again. (Same as Ted did with shred) He mentioned that in his last interview also that he hadn't trained a lot. Marco is a great skier but I don't like his style -upper extension, same as Freda, kind of Italian style. I think young Olsen is going to go well because he does a proper rebound out of every turn, slingshots like Marcel. Interesting to see how the season develops.
Odermatt is a whole new phenomenon. Only time will tell if he can be as good or better than Marcel. One thing is for sure, the kid is on the right track.
@@RomanTecDev upper extension to flat skiis , direct line durning lateral transition , late edge set flexing rotate hips ankles to recoil recenter with every turn , reverse hips ankles rotate on diaganal to increase radius under gate , he never adjust his line in left turn 99 percent all the time.
@@apprendrelavideo463in general, they do different disciplines. They only have GS in common. By the way, Odermatt will almost certainly surpass Hirscher in GS (in number of victories, medals, cups, etc.). If we talk about overall globe, then Marcel will most likely keep the record of 8 consecutive titles.

Good point, but do you think he sound take on Odermatt?
