don't get me wrong I loved this video and want more, but like this looks so much like some AI comments I've been seeing on my alt where I upload videos
For the longest time, it was due to the terrible hardware. Everyone thought that there was only one, puzzle the one by MoYu. The YuXin one, without previous knowledge, you'd never know is the same puzzle. If you look up the solve, it's also very linear. The method is basically the same, and there are basically no algorithms. It is a very fun puzzle, and of course is a puzzle, but with how the WCA is right now, you'd need REALLY good reasons to add an event. It would have to be perfect, and Redi Cube/8-petals is not.
Kilominx FTO (once they start making good speedcubes) Master Pyraminx Mirror Blocks (and no inspection mirror bld) Redi Cube Rescramble (from red bull) 2x2x3 or some other cuboid Replace Pyraminx with Jing's Pyraminx (don't hate me for that one)
The kibiminx with the colored centers is a Fanxin kibiminx. Also, for the 2x2 mirror cubes, under don't buy, I would've included the Qiyi one, as that one has a similar style to the Mofang Jioshi Mirror S
EDIT: I have spent some more time with each puzzle and my thoughts have changed and are more complicated. I want to make a video for it but I think self promo here is inappropriate so! Get the yuxin if you want to be fast quick, get the moyu for some of the reasons I mention below - Shawn was right and I was mistaken, sorry about my previous comment, Mr Speedcubereview! I'm not super fast at redi cube (and I don't really like either option) but in my opinion the yuxin 8 petals is my least favourite corner turning puzzle I've ever solved. I tend to prefer a more tactile and controllable puzzle, and the yuxin is not remotely tactile, even on the tightest possible tensions. One more thing, the magnets sometimes fall out of their slots in the yuxin which can also hamper the stability of the puzzle. I expect most people would prefer the yuxin, but for me the moyu redi cube is better.
I really love the selection you recommend, although I'm curious why the 2x2x4 isn't mentioned. I kinda think 1) WitEden's prone to exploding, 2) Rubik's brand doesn't follow the standard color pairings, and 3) QiYi was said to have made a 2x2x3, but not yet a 2x2x4 or higher. I believe someday we will get the best version of that 2x2x4 anyhow.
@@SpeedCubeReview The mirror blocks by Shengshou get a lot better with breaking in and they are very nice after sone time. I prefer them over the moyu ones because the moyu ones have blurry stickers that aren't as mirrory and reflective. For mastermorphix, i don't like the look of the YJ one, never been a fan of YJ attempts at ridges and i much prefer the shengshou one or the cubing classroom. Shengshou changed their shades so it looks nicer. The kibiminx looks bad with their center design and it reminds me of the Mefferts flowerminx. Shengshou came out with a stickerless kilominx as well. The megamorphix, master pyra and the time machine are a good recommendation imo. I don't like the Qiyi 3x3x2 because it's 60 mm and not 57 so it doesn't line up well with the 3x3n collection and the lanlan one is just fine if you tension it.
The Shengshou is basically a copy of the Rubik's brand. The performance is no different than any other major brand out there besides the MFJS ones. The issue with the shengshou stickerless one is they added colors to the centers which takes away the idea of it being a "2x2" puzzle. The new colors for the mastermorphix must be very new. I have been constantly looking for them to update the colors and it seems not never lightake has it.
@@SpeedCubeReview I can send you a picture of my shengshou one with new colors if you're in doubt what it's like. I think what happened is most stores got the new one and forgot to change the display picture on their website. Also I'd love to see you do the 2x2x3 comparison lefun vs qiyi and the 2 layer cheese comparison Diansheng vs Lefun.
Thanks, this was helpful. Will there be a WCA edition too? You don’t have to narrow all of them down to one, I know preference plays a big role in WCA puzzles.
Hi can anyone tell me do I need to know how to do a 3x3 for a megaminx or a ghost cube. Also should I know how to do a skewb in order to do a master skewb? Thanks in advance.

I’m going to be honest, I’ve been cubing for 4 years now and I don’t know why the Redi Cube isn’t an event.

I also think that they should add kilominx
I think it is because only moyu makes it
Yea I've been curbing for 5 years and I am kinda mad that they have not made redi cube a event🙁
Kilominx
FTO (once they start making good speedcubes)
Master Pyraminx
Mirror Blocks (and no inspection mirror bld)
Redi Cube
Rescramble (from red bull)
2x2x3 or some other cuboid
Replace Pyraminx with Jing's Pyraminx (don't hate me for that one)
I would love a part two!
(Maybe include fisher, axis, windmill, etc)

Wow, I didn't know a lot before this video
Wow I never put much thought into looking through the various Non-WCA puzzles to see which one is better. Thanks for the guide!
I really recommend this video to those who are going to get these puzzles. Awesome picks and very fun to watch.
This is my favourite SpeedCubeReview vid since I'm just getting into non-wca puzzles. Now I know what puzzles to get. Thanks.
definite yes on QiYi Master Pyrminx and YuXin 8 Petals. They're excellent palate cleansers. I'll keep you posted on the others.
Do more of these videos, they're well made and it really helps! I'd love to see more on 8x8+ cubes, and the bigger minx's!
I like how this video shows lots of different puzzles and help anyone who may want to buy any of them

Yes! A new video!

When I see time machine in thumbnail.

Had the yuxin v2 timer for over a year now. Still works great even after being dropped and used many times
You should turn this into a series.

Hmmm, my Time Machine from Z-Cube does not pop, but it just locks up a lot.
This really helped me find out what the best mirror block is. Thanks
I have the same time machine and I have never had any of the problems you describe.
Thank you! Helped a lot when trying to decide which puzzle I shoule buy.
I still need a Speedstacks timer!
I also , I have a MOYU one
Can't believe I missed this! Awesome video 👏
Great video Shawn
Did you know about the secret move on the stickerless 2x3x3?
Wow, very informative! Helps cut down tht selection. Thanks for another great video.
i like the editing!
Noo I didn't know about the code and just ordered my first speed cube today. Yuxin little magic. Cheers from Finland :)
i have the z time machine , i poured some thick lube and it works better
Hey, go part 2
Get the qiyi 2x2x3. It performs basically like a top of the line speed cube and it is about $6.
This is my favorite video!!
I want second part of this video
PLEASE 😉🙏🏻
I don't currently have cubes I would consider for a part 2. It might be awhile before one.

I'm not doubting, it's just not many places. Is it the more matte finish like the other SS puzzles?
Is the Fanxin Master Pyraminx ok to get?
are you going to make more Buy This, NOT That Non-WCA Puzzle

There won't be. Most all WCA puzzles from all major companies have quality product on which you can get similar times.
I like this video a lot
Which is better ?
Non magnetic or a magnetic pyraminx?
I just added all of these cubes (except the mirror blocks because its hard to find) to my collection
Of course I see this video after I order a Shengshou Kilominx

Where can you get the mirror block
Lol you should buy the gan mirror cube and yes I know it wasn’t out when you made the video
I already have one coming
Nice
I had the Z Time Machine and it broke during the first solve. What can I expect for $4.99, eh?
Hey why you didn't include qiyi 2×2×3
I have not collected the other ones. The Witeden and Zcube ones are much harder to find, at least at major stores.
@@SpeedCubeReview well ok

Nope
Buy this, not that for Mirror Blocks in a nutshell: buy the green one, not that other one
The green stickers are my own addition. They will not be like that normally.
Why is it a bad thing for the kilominx to have colored centers?

Hey Shawn, how's the meilong kilominx vs shenghou if u lube and set them , my friend says the Shengshou should be loosened and lubed to be great,
Corner cutting seems similar all around. I prefer the ridges

It's just MFJS mirror. Not the mirror S
No I mean there's an MFJS Meilong and just normal MFJS so which one?
