Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on 24 September announced that a greenfield access-controlled highway connecting Pune with Bangalore would be built at the cost of Rs 40,000 crore. Pune-Bengaluru Expressway would be 6 Lane Expressway.
The new Expressway will be developed parallel to the existing Pune - Bangalore highway (NH-48)

India is now getting very close to become a first world country within 10-15 years if this pace is maintained, now need to focus more on increasing jobs, literacy rate, health sector, rural and urban infrastructure & housing etc.
Literacy, health sector, infra, and housing is increasing very quickly. However, all over the world, jobs are decreasing, mainly because of corona. After corona, jobs can go back up again.

Good morning! Yes Phaltan is not far from Pune by the way. And this is just an ESTIMATED ROUTE I already mentioned. Because no ROUTE is final ROUTE before Preparation of DPR. DPR yet to prepare.

Government can also extend existing national highways like Nh16 Chennai - Kolkata from 4 lane to 6 lane. I have noticed that lots of work already happening in NH 16 but not sure whether it's road expansion.

Strict steps should be taken to avoid heavy vehicles occupying right lane meant for cars/jeeps. I travelled today from Pune to Mumbai through expressway, here also this problem persists. Vehicles violating lane discipline should be heavily fined.

@@varun1640 well for your kind information brother, nitin gadkari is an honourable minister, many highways are already going on in rapid pace, but some projects which he announces still in drawing boards, for example shiradi ghat tunnel in mangalore highway is still not started, he is stating that the work in 3 months from 2015, one year back he came to mangalore and said the work will start in 3 months, still now single grass is not been moved, Bangalore Chennai expressway is pending from many years, everytime he comes here he says it will start in 2-3 months , then no sign at all of that project, recently he announced tamilnadu to Surat highway, Bangalore and vijayawada expressway, wait and watch when that project will start , this will take years to start, this just an announcement, Delhi Mumbai expressway is of major importance to nation compared to all this projects in south, so it was taken and will be completing early, but the projects he announced in south, it will start after many years

It is Khhadeys Express Highway Nothing else.
