- Welcome to the Hildebrants Heroes Podcast! This is not your normal podcast. Sheldon, SirImperialMike and I breakdown our Masters gameplay from start to finish. In this first episode, we go through hero select, what items to buy to start and how to navigate the Guardian Forest Biome. Here we will give you all the guides, tips and information you need to dominate the game.

wow, as someone new, it's nice to see all these dedicated FTK guide videos on this channel, which tells me the game must have has lots of depth
It does have a lot of depth but once you know the top 3 rules to success, you’ll do really well.
The only way I can think of improving these vids would be to have timestamp for the major topics presented if possible. Great and informative content otherwise.

I've spent over 7 days of total playtime, and gotten every achievement for the game besides beating on Master difficulty and I've gotta say, this is the best, most comprehensive, and well thought out guide I've ever watched for any video game ever. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this and for hopefully increasing my odds of completing master difficulty! I will definitely be watching part 2

Ive ended up watch all these videos without realizing 😂 I figured most of this stuff out by trial and error but there has been plenty I was not aware of. Thank you for the advice its super helpful and now im playing it again. I wish I had friends to play this game with but oh well 🤷♂️ I do look forward to more though! 👍

You guys should do a Scholar Busker Minstrel run when this one is over! Or at least make a video on it. I typically don't use talent heros but I'd like to see them utilized. Maybe even an Intelligent, Talent, Awareness run!
I'll talk with them and come up with ideas for further content...but this one will be on going for a bit.

I'm so glad I found your channel! Just started playing and am playing the first scenario on journeyman with friends. Also am trying my hand at master on my own run-through. Keeping track of three characters by oneself is tough not to mention the increased difficulty that master presents. Been playing Civ 6 on hardest difficulty with general success so a game like this with all the little efficiency tactics is something to which I'm drawn. Thanks for the information shared!

I played the original CIV back in 1990's. I've played every version since. I've also been playing Civ 6... but struggling because I haven't purchased the DLC's for Civ 6 so many of the mechanics aren't there.

This is a fine video. My recommendation is to come to a consensus among your group whether this is a beginners guide or advanced player's guide. Because you deliver contradictory information and disagree amongst yourselves (not in a bad way) but it gives the discussion a bit of an identity crisis and makes it hard to follow what exactly the group is trying to convey. Otherwise great video.
This type of comment is great but wish we could have a lot of back and forth to get some more specifics. I typically like to look through the lens of the beginners but all the concepts talked about are to help you win Masters but easily translates down to Apprentice.

@@prodphet I was thinking something similar, because some of this was new to me, but focusing before taking a shrine or the fact that focusing improves odds and creates an autosuccess on a die roll is not a master level thing. The looking at who was 3rd in the combat timeline and preventing that one hit because the other two were unavoidable is a journeyman/master level tip. The teleporting to Woodsmoke is also good advice. Sometimes it seemed like a cross between "This is how to move from journeyman to master...." But then 15 minutes would be spent on very basic information for someone who has never even played the game before, directly afterwards. it caused me to put the video on x1.5 speed during basic tutorial things and then slow it back down when it got somewhere interesting again.
@@Taricus I probably should have articulated my point better on the previous reply. It was to encapsulate all levels…it’s How to Master the game. So a beginner would gain 10x more knowledge from this video than an experienced person not being able to beat Master…but this will get them over the hump. And I don’t ever want to cater my guides to the top tier players, it’s more for beginners so it will be boring for an experienced player such as yourself for most of it.
@@prodphet Oh, I still learned some cool things that I didn't know. It was just a combo of the title and somewhere at the very beginning of the video you had said something about it being for journeyman/master level, how to make that leap or something. So, I was like, "Why's he explaining die rolls?" LOL! It wasn't boring though. I was just about to watch part 2😂

This game is hard. I've played through to death 4 times so far. I still don't get the stats and weapons. How to balance stats, herbs and weapons and armor. It is crazy.
A lot of fun though.

@@prodphet thanks. I think what ends up happening to me, is I get outscaled by the enemies. I get to level 5 and die. Thank you.
Two pointers:
1) After glittering mines, the town refreshes happen 15 rounds after. You want to unlock as many chaos camps (5 in total) before the refresh occurs
2) There’s also three mini dungeons, I try at least to do two before the refresh
Bonus) I almost never fight anything in the overworld after glittering mines

Mostly anything is viable. Also, I almost never do the two same characters so if you double up Scholars...that's a great hero cause he's one of the best. I'm not a huge fan of Minstrel, I personally would go Trapper if you are wanting Talent...but that's just me.
This game will leave gamepass in 12 days, do you have any tips to speedrun? Following your advice from this video I know that is a huge start butif you have some more advice to help , thanks a lot.
This is hard without writing a novel.
1) Get to know town refreshes. Especially the ones 15 days after glittering mines and Kings Maze. You’ll want to unlock side quests for lower level camps.
2) Stock up herbs
3) always upgrade weapons
4) Hit catacombs and mines in each biome early for gold.
5) Heal up using sanctums, tinder pouches and towns.
6) Pathing is super important but so hard to learn in 12 days...try your best to be efficient. (For example, use boat on the coast of Poison Bog instead of walking around in it)

That's the first time I've heard that's too loud. I have been adjusting audio overtime and getting better at it. Glad the video was useful.

Should note your teleport was purposeful for maximum hexploration as well!
