"Hello, citizens of Autodale! You are pretty. Your neighbours, friends and family are also pretty. But sadly, not everyone is pretty. Some are ugly ...We, here at Autodale, do not want "uglies."
This animation was extremely fun to work on. I definitely enjoy doing my own original stuff over Overwatch/Rick and Morty stuff. I hope that this (Like Redone) does well so I can continue doing original animations. It's so much more fun to explore my own personal creativity. Building this world from the ground up was awesome and I'm quite proud of the final result.
This short explores themes of individualism, innocence and brainwashing which were very fun to play with; something I don't think I could do with the restrictive nature of a fan-film. Really hope you guys enjoy it!

It is good way to shake the audience.
But in general, is there a good reasión why you should want to surround yourself with "ugly" people ?
Some examples of the tags:
Beeing fat goes hand in hand with an eating disorder and psychological problems.
Beeing divorced can have its good reasons.
Beeing a retard can be really dangerous for everybody arround him.
I don't think you should punish those people. Many of them deseve help.
But still you should really take some properties as a warning flag
and ask yourself if it is good for your health to keep them close by.

Honestly, I think this is my first time learning what Dystopian genre was. When I was younger, I was recommended these Dystopian-based videos, but I never 100% understood them. As I grew older, I understand what the story is and what the citizens of Autodale are dealing with. However, I want to say thank you David for creating this Dystopian-based story (I slowly but surely started to love and understand it) and your hard work put to this. In my perspective, Dystopian is a very interesting kind of genre not all talk of.

This was my first time learning about the dystopian genre, exept I learned in school, my ela teacher in 8th grade at the end of the year did a dystopia module and thought we would like this series, boy was she right

The best way to make it stop is to just not be offended, just not caring what other people think or say or say to others. This is true independence. However, it is worth considering the opinions of others to better ourselves

One piece that I find interesting is that the roads are built on top of the graves, meaning that Autodale is literally built on the premise of getting rid of “uglys”
The scariest part of this is that it is somewhat true. People that don’t fit into the norm get bullied and discarded. This is a wake up call

My mum is my english teacher in school and right now we are learning about dystopian futures and sci-fi so i just sent her this so she can put some work for class in relation to these short format stories. They are really interesting.

this series 100% got me into the dystopian genre and i adore it sm
six years later this still hits me. it’s terrifying in a way that i do not understand. i really felt it when i saw the people in the pit, most because i am a disabled lesbian, usually written off as unlovable, crippled, r*tarded, or broken. this is genuinely a masterpiece in the way it evokes emotion
I’m aroace. Prejudice and discrimination still exists to this very day. A-holes call people on aromantic/asexual spectrum “losers” and “virgins” for not pursuing romantic or sexual relationships like a majority of people. Words can truly be damaging.

After years, I still love this series.
this is why i love fictional dystopian stories. the giver, the maze runner, this short film, they all give a sense of totalitarianism and it's so interesting to me because of the manipulation that the higher ups conduct... it's so disheartening and the sheer horror is terrifying to me
it's like a computer system, these people are all assigned a task, and they HAVE to do that task, and if not then somethings off. so: elimination
and then people won't care because they're taught that it's okay to have someone else that's not in line being eliminated

DrHeavenly Theres HUNDREDS of copies of this joke. At this point its lost all comedic value. Its not funny in the first place when the creator spends so long crafting these magnificent videos and such interesting lore and people make jokes about it. The jokes arent even the worst part, its the fact that you take something out of context. It doesnt even MEAN attractiveness, yet everyone makes jokes that it does. It takes away from the effort that the creator put in. He even addressed this in his process video, how alot of people misunderstood his take on the 'uglies'. I remember seeing my older brother watching this and hearing it playing in the background as I played with something I don't remember what, just that I was playing. I remembered there was meaning behind it but not knowing what it was, and acting like I knew. It felt like a life time ago when I seen it, I didn't remember it just the feeling. I could feel it but not understand it. Now so much time later so late at night I have gone down the rabbit hole and now I have come to it.
