For anyone who hasn't seen this...imagine there's an anime about psychology where you learn all about psychology and proper medical terms okay and now add some mystery into the anime. That's what this anime is, basically it's a psychological anime about a guy trying to recover his missing memories and through the journey there is a psychologist who is helping him recover his memories by using all different types of psychological methods. Yes it uses real life psychology and proper terms, you can learn a lot by watching this.
Well. Maybe more like historical psychology since "suppressed memories" are now widely regarded as pseudoscience and one of the most high profile cases of it (infamously documented in Michelle Remembers) is from the modern lens a shocking abuse of power by a doctor. (Also it helped kick off the American Satanic Panic, which was horrific in its own right wrt fallout)
This anime was also made by someone who if I'm sure also worked on serial experiments lain and kino's journey 2 underated animes that like ghost hound are amazing. This anime really flew underneath people's radars and I'm glad I got to watch it as it certainly was a gem. The intro is enough to make it memorable to me and the song is an ear worm too.
If you have a friend looking for a good psychological anime to watch recommend them this show this has to be my favourite psychological anime i ever watched
i loved this anime, wish there were clips of some scenes from it, like masayuki saying WEAPON SELECT, LOAD.. that was so coool also i love makoto and masayuki
