This is really easy. Take the shortcut every lap and Do tricks when in the air to fill your boost meter constantly. When there's no Ramps or boost pads just jump and do a front flip. You can boost the whole lap this way. Took me a total of 3 attempts to get both the race trophies. If you still struggle, use the slow-mo cheat.
I earned the trophy after failing so many times. It was frustrating. 1:40 would have been the right time. Here is some advice (beside the said tips). The track is made up of stretches with boost pads and stretches without. The key is keeping boost for the second ones. So, add as much as you can to the boost gauge (jumping through rings, breaking crates, performing tricks). Don't use it immediately though. Store it until you really need to give burst more than once (long stretches without boost pads). Don't do it if you are too close to ramps you want to jump over or to explosive crates: the burst of speed makes it harder to control the hoverboard. Also, cutting over corners is unnecessary and possibly dangerous, for you may fall off the track. Use this method, keep calm and you will succeed.
Tips - Turn on invincibility. Prioritze blue arrows and rings. Need to save some of the boxes on the big jump in the middle for each lap, only hit 2 columns worth each time. Save some boost. The section after the big jump and before the first jump is where you will slow down the most. This is where you need the most boost.
do not forget to do the tricks, they give you a little extra boost when you land. try to alternate between them. Once i figured this out i did it in my third try in 1 34s
GUYS. I was trying SO hard for this trophy and I couldn't get under 1:37... Swear to god I was at 1:30 and right after I hit an explosive case I quit and the trophy popped. I'm so happy holy crap.
Slow - invincible - don't bother jumping over the bombs just go through - try get blue rings - only do tricks (try to turn three times) on the jump where you go through the boxes in the middle - finally how I did it. As well as cutting corners sometimes however it does respawn you when you try at times. I'm very bad at races, generally speaking, but hope this helps.
@@Kagetora- you didn't use cheats but you used slow?!... That is one of the cheats. Invincibility would never be needed in a race especially if your using the slow motion cheat.
The secret here for me was to do multiple air tricks in one jump, it fills your boost bars even more, I was focusing too much on collecting every box but still short on boost. Was doing near perfect runs @ 1:39, then on my trophy run I made loads of mistakes and still got 1:34. This trophy sucks btw XD
I just got the trophy My advice: Just keep trying, eventually you'll get used to the track and be able to maneuver through also if you've collected all 28 Gold Bolts use the Invincibility and Slow gameplay cheats, really helps you get through those explosive crates My time: 1:32.6
for anyone struggling with this trophie: keep trying , try to memorize the fastest routes, muscle memory will then kick in. i spent a good 30-40 trying and trying, once you get a good feeling try being careful with stunts when in the air as they can hinder you if not timed correctly , i got ended up with a 1:34:22
biggest tip i think is to always jump at the end of a boost ramp and pull off 2 tricks to fill the meter. once you do that it's just a matter of activating your boost as much as you can and not hitting any obstacles

a tip for anyone who sees this- do this with the invincibility cheat on so you can ignore the explosive boxes, for that extra help also you can cut a few corners with a boosted jump, but dont cut too much because it will think you fell off even if you make it

Fuck this achievement, but finally got it with a 1:33 I recommend running the race several times just to learn the way the track is built first and then attempting to get 1:35 or under after you know where to turn, jump, boost and air trick. If you don't time your air tricks at the right moment, you could end up falling and slowing down when you land, so keep this in mind, it will take out 3-4 milliseconds if this happens.
so one thing he doesnt do in the video that will help cut time ALOT is you can cut your corners early just go "out of bounds" and hop from one part of the track to the other even better with turbo
Kinda hard trophy. Unlock for me (without cheats or exploit) at 1.34.890 after 45 minutes of tries and I only figured out until the last two races, that tricks will full your boost.
The rubberbanding is real on hard mode. Getting 1:31:xxx and still coming 2nd is a joke. Switch to easy mode and get it first time. You're actually more likely to win the race when you fail on hard mode.
I was trying to do this for hours and indie it five times but didn't win the race, then I read in the comments that you could just turn down the difficulty. so I won all of them in hard mode and got the trophy on easy haha I don't even care I can keep playing now.
This one is damn hard .. just finished it after 3 hours straight on the race. I was less than 0,5s late like 6 or 7 time i was going crazy. And in the end i played the perfect one with a 1'33"70
I somehow found a glitch with this trophy, where the game ended up giving me the trophy even though I didn't even win, let alone finish the race. My last run, I was at 1:34 and inches from the finish line, also in second place by a hair. I knew I wasn't going to make it, so I paused the game, quit the race and backed out to start over. As that one chick is telling me 'better luck next time' the trophy pops. I was like 'What!? I didn't even finish the race. O..k..'

Become the master part 2 lol. My tip is do the tricks, doubles if you can. If you don't you will realise you're running out of turbo and just putt putting alone for some of the track wasting time. Squeezing in a few double trick here and there goes alone way to give you that extra turbo. And remember it's not press R3, it's move R3 for the tricks
Tried this trick over 50 times and my time is always 2:25.first lap I've done it in 25 seconds On the second lap I cannot boost at all I'm so slow and it's past 1:45 boost doesn't help at all I hit the boost button and ratchet crashes and I'm back in position 6th
After Completing Rift Apart Platinum, I Went Back To Get This Platinum And Got It Last Night. It Took Me Over 2 Hours, But I Had 3 Glitches, 2 Times I Hit An Invisible Wall When I Was Near Skidd McMarx Near The Finish Line, Once On His Left Side And Once Behind Him. And The Other Glitch I Had Was I Had A Time Below the 1:35 And When The Other Screen Showed Up I Was Just Over The 1:35, Like It Was A Lag With Time Glitch ? Just Keep Grinding And Have No Fear With Going Fast As Once I Did That. It Shaved Off Enough Time To Beat The 1:35 Mark. And Use The Crates Properly And The Rings And Use Up The Boost So It Doesn't Max Out. And Eventually You'll Beat It Good Luck Gamers

i feel bad for everyone struggling in this comment section lol... i got it first try! if you guys are really struggling i recommend turning on invincibility and slow game speed, you'll still get the trophy if you have those on also remember to do as many tricks as you can without having a rough landing! they build up your boost meter
from settings, replace L1/R1 with L2/R2 because the triggers have potentiometer where the speed of the havoboard depends on them while R1/L1 doesn't depends on a ration, it's just a button when you press it the speed goes as highest as possible

you also have to win the race too. i think there was something wrong with my game since I couldn't even reach first place even though my time was like 1:20. I did it perfect. if that happens quit game and try again.
A word of advice: if a trophy/achievement takes a perfect run to get, DON’T MAKE IT SILVER.

Easy way to get this trophy. Put the game on Easy and put the game speed on slow. The trophy should be real easy that way.

I can’t get this trophy because everytime I land from a jump my character just gets stuck for a split second and it fucks everything up

Don't do tricks when you're nearly touching the ground, it slows you down
WHen you do a trick and your halfway through with it then hit the ground that happens
A couple of tips to get this quicker...set difficulty to easy and set game speed to slow (if you unlocked the cheat).

If you have enough gold bolts, you can use the cheat to slow down time. This makes the turns a lot easier to manage.
I think the hoverboard race trophies will be the only 2 i don't get. I'm not that good at them and i quite frankly don't like them.

you also have to win the race too. i think there was something wrong with my game since I couldn't even reach first place even though my time was like 1:20. I did it perfect.
