  • 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander in-depth Walkaround
You're looking at the best vehicle Mitsubishi sells in the U.S. The 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander is a three-row compact crossover SUV with a genuine sense of style, modern technology and competitive power. If that praise sounds like the Outlander simply meets the basic requirements to compete in the segment, you're correct. But when you consider the rest of Mitsubishi's U.S. lineup, it's a miracle.
The Outlander's interior is similar to the Nissan Rogue's. The driver's seat offers a good range of adjustment, so tall and short pilots alike should be able to find an ideal position. Oddly, the front passenger seat adjusts only fore and aft and in the seatback angle.
Getting in and out of the front seat is a cinch, but adults might have trouble entering the rear. The bench seat is mounted somewhat high, so you'll probably have to scrunch to avoid hitting your head on the way in. While the front and second rows are fairly spacious, the third row has only a minimal amount of legroom. It's effectively useless for anyone taller than a child.
The Outlander's standard engine is a 2.5-liter inline-four-cylinder engine that makes 181 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. It pairs exclusively with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Front-wheel drive is the standard configuration, but all-wheel drive is optional.
The all-wheel-drive Outlander earns an EPA-rated 24 mpg city and 30 highway. Front-wheel drive Outlanders see a marginal improvement of 24 cities and 31 mpg on the highway. During our 75-mph highway fuel-economy route-part of our extensive testing regimen-the all-wheel-drive Mitsubishi's real-world result of 26 mpg fell short of its EPA estimate. The Outlander PHEV is rated for 25 mpg city and 27 mpg highway when running on gasoline, but by the government's yardstick, it's good for 64 MPGe combined when accounting for its electric driving range.

No need to have a 3rd row for this car. Up until 2nd row is enough and can compete with honda crv.

What's the use of the 3rd row if you can't even seat in there because there's no leg room, it's useless as f*ck

Ugly front end on that Nissan. Why not buy a better looking Nissan with an actual Nissan badge?

Though I agree nissan mitsubishi alliance bought same stuff on both cars but the one in this video is a PHEV vehicle and it got Mitsubishi's Engine not that of Nissan 's and more over its not CVT engine
