I often take pictures with my phone I want to copy to my laptop and it's a pain in the butt to have to use a cable. I got the Bluetooth connection part done, but kept getting file transfer failure errors when I tried to "share" one from my phone to the laptop. The piece is was missing is you cannot initiate the process from your phone. I needed to start the process at the laptop first using the "Receive a File" option which I just never noticed. Now it works no problem. I knew there had to be a simpler way to do it versus emailing it or using an app....I was close I just needed one more piece. Anyway, thank you sir - very helpful. I have no idea why someone would not give this one a thumbs up....well done brother.
Is it possible to use this Bluetooth connection (or scrcpy) to use the PC for mic and audio-out?
mine does not even pop up.. this did not help at all it just keeps trying to scan but nothing pops up even thought bluetooth is on.
My Android phone (Galaxy S10+) was recently updated to Android version 12 and with this update I no longer have the option to share via Bluetooth. The only options given are Gmail; AOL; Message+; LinkedIn; and a Quick Share option. It appears that when the 'share' is in process it only looks for other Android devices so my laptop is not found. I have used the method of transferring or receiving files to my phone as you have demonstrated above for quite some time before my phone was updated to Android 12. Have you experienced the same issue? If so, can you figure out a workaround?

My laptop is not even showing the Bluetooth icon on the hidden icon and the on\off option isn't available.i can't connect to any Bluetooth device

ah yes but i want to select where i'd like the file to go to on the phone, example i want to add songs to my MP3 list in different albums but i have fried my USB port hence why i am now trying bluetooth (charging is done wirelessly)

If it still doesn't work, try updating the driver. The one Microsoft provides might not work out of the box.

thanks normaly i use my usb cable but my port broke. now i can again share files from my desktop to phone and the other way around
i can't connect phone to pc it keeps telling me on my phone can't connect to pc but if i look on my pc Bluetooth it says paired but on phone it doesn't want to cooperate any ideas?

Yeah, not helpfully. Already paired my deviced but my phone is having trouble connecting to pc. Might just remove the device from the pc and phone and then pair them again.

What's a whole lot easier is simply unplugging my android charging cable from the USB power plug - and plug into my USB on my laptop and boom! That easy! I can transfer any files (and fast!) from my android phone to my laptop - for example, I can transfer all my pictures I have taken and create a new folder on my laptop like: "SUMMER 2023 CELL PICS" and then go to my laptop and search my phone for images and select all and copy. I have bluetooth on both my phone and laptop, but this just hooking up the charging cable to my USB port is so much faster and easier!
