In practical use, there’s no difference. There’s the obvious difference that a higher end reel offers, which is better casting, smoother retrieve, better drag, more ridged, etc. however, you could buy a low profile DC reel of similar price and get the same performance. Its aesthetics. I personally prefer the look and feel of a round reel, so I have a Calcutta Conquest DC and Daiwa Millionaire CT SV. The Conquest is by far my favorite reel I’ve ever owned.

How do those reels compare to a normal bait caster?
Basically the same thing, way lighter and you gotta dial them a little more than a usual bait caster
Has that old school look and its lighter, though expensive.. these reels are 250+ right?
