Too bad no better recording seems to exist. These guys deserved to play in front of audiences big as those of Journey, with state of the art equipment to record their live performances for eternity....

Yes, it’s Alan. I can tell by the set up and the playing too. He’s playing the parts like he did originally for the most part unlike Simon would play. Plus, Alan joined them around this time again for some shows.

@GaryD Wow! “Pay attention”? And you are the authority of this, how? Also, that doesn’t look like Simon’s set, you can tell my the some of the body mechanics it seems like Alan. There are other videos out there with the same set up (especially cymbals). Simon didn’t have the control and meter Alan has. Simon would’ve had that song so much faster. See th-cam.com/video/30TOh8V0sG8/w-d-xo.html That'll tell you. Same drum set up and.....that's Alan.

@s b I agree that Simon made the songs sound like grunge. Sometimes trying to turn the into metal even. I’m surprised he was hired to play for them honestly. Not trying to be mean but just being honest with an opinion. Alan played for the songs. Two totally different drummers.
